Great deal!
I own several rental properties and I'm now flipping houses. I needed a part-time cordless framing nailer and I didn't want to spend $300 for occassional use. After reading other reveiws, I decided to buy it. First, I have to point out the directions included from CH are not very clear if you're new to this type of gun. The missing part of the instructions? What fuel and what nails does it take. After researching and going to HD, I found it takes Paslode fuel (about $11 at HD) and Paslode nails. Geez can't CH just put this in their instructions? I bought (as I recall) 2,500 3" 30 degree .131 clipped nails in stock at HD (for about $52).

If you're new to a cordless/fuel nailer it's a little challenging figuring out prep the fuel and gun for first use. It would be nice if CH or someone had a video on this process. After a few mis-trials I got it to work. Wow does it drive nails into studs. Sometimes it won't fire nails ... I'm not too sure why yet aside from the following. If it doesn't fire at all but the blower works, be sure to check that it's not low on nails. Just like the book says, when it gets down to 7-8 nails, the fan will run, but it won't fire. I also found that when the battery is low the fan will run but it will not fire. I also noticed on my charger that the light always stays green when charging. It never goes to red or blinks so I'm not sure when it's done. Maybe my charger is faulty.

Overall, I'm very happy with this gun. I don't have experience as a full time framer or with the top-of-the line nailers nor am I a GC, so I can't compare this gun with others, but for my occasional use and for the PRICE, it's a great deal and value. If you're a DIY'er or need a part-time gun, I recommend it.

Great product
I had a paslode previously a friend borrowed it and never got it back. I started looking at different nailers but didn't want to spend all the money again, I found the Campbell house field on line , my first thought was you get what you pay for so I waited couple weeks thought about it and finally made the decision to buy the Campbell Housefield. This is well worth the money and then some. CPU was very helpful shipping was fast. Could not wait to get it and try it out. When I received it I was very pleased it's very well made didn't feel any different than paslode. Uses paslode fuel tanks and nails and works remarkably, I extremely happy with this purchase works the same if not better than other nailers

THIS IS A GOOD DEAL! COMPARES TO OVERPRICED COMPETITORS
I was a little hesitant about buying this nailer because the price was way too cheap compared to leading competitors and there wasn't many reviews on it. I crossed my fingers and hoped for the best... This item arrived new in oversized outer box. It came in a nice molded case. It came with a nice manual, Bottle of oil (for servicing), Battery, Charger, 2 fuel connectors, 2 allen wrenches, and safety glasses. There are 2 slots in the case for batteries but it only came with 1 battery. I wish it came with a second battery. I went to HD to see if the Pasload batteries are the same (as other reviews said they would) but the 2 different Pasload batteries they had on the shelf were not the same type. However, the Pasload fuel and nails were the same but I picked up a different brand of fuel and 30 degree nails because it was cheaper (for what appeared to be the same type and quality). I will try to call the manufacture phone number listed in the manual for a second battery. I was glad to see that there was a phone number I would call for parts if I needed them. I then charged up the battery. The manual says that the charger doesn't automatically stop charging so you have to keep an eye on the charging indicator so you don't overcharge (and ruin) the battery. I inserted the battery, nails, fuel, and put on the supplied safety glasses and fired a few nails into double stacked 2X4's. I had to make an adjustment to the depth (as indicated in the manual)in order to get the nail heads flush with wood. I was surprised by the amount of power it had. It was loud (like shooting a 22). I shot another 6 nails and removed the battery, fuel, and nails and stored it for it for a later project. It functioned perfectly. I'm very impressed. It doesn't appear to be of the same quality as Pasload but it seems to work the same. I would compare the quality to what you would expect to see at HF. I'm not sure if it would hold up to building an entire house but for the price, I recommend trying it before paying for a Pasload.

Perfect for us
We use this product in and industrial shop to build out going shipping crates. It's perfect because there is no air hose holding us in one area. The crates we build are all different sizes and shapes so it's nice to be able to build something on the otherside of the building when we need to. The price was great and so is the product!

for the money is probably the best cordless gas nailer you can buy. It doesn't seem to like grip rite nails too much but gets by with only a few dry fires per load. Use the paslode fuel as the bostitch fuel canister doesn't line up as well. it drives nails hard and countersinks them. Be prepared for the "kick" it has as it drives. Make sure you read the manual and be prepared to be "hands on" while becoming familiar with the tool. Once you get it figured out it does operate pretty well. I don't use it often but it's handy to have for small jobs. overall I think it was a good purchase and hundreds less than competitors cordless nailer....

At this price you could buy 5 of the "pro" names
Just got today day before expected. Bought some 3 1/4 inch nails and red paslode fuel and fixed some popped board on the deck. Performed just like the paslode cordless gun I used for years. Great performance at a great price. I will be using for framing up a fairly large garage soon and hope it holds up. I will update after....

can't beat for the price
I took a shot and purchased this a few months ago. I was skeptical at first. Since this was my first cordless framer it took some time to get used to how it functioned. Once I got it dialed in it works pretty well. It drives nails hard and sinks them pretty deep. Through trial and error I found that it doesn't like cheap nails or fuel. Make sure you use the fuel that rhymes with the word Faslode. The gun itself seems to be made of good quality materials. I've handled other brands of gas framers and it seems to be on par with them. I bought this and an extra battery at the same time and I'm glad I did. The case is nice and for the price this gun really can't be beat. So if you do buy, read the manual and spend some time getting use to the mechanisms involved with this gun. Use good nails and fuel and you will have a nice portable framer for less than a hundred bones.
