Power & accuracy in a small size
I have a small shop and this saw works out great for me. I am a hobbist woodworker, small furniture, scroll sawing, ect. The fence is very accurate, I just wish the miter gauge would of been of a better quality. Also there is no dado insert available and it will only take about a 1/2 of dado blade. However I did make a dado insertfor it. The dust duct is also a nice feature, I just hook up my shop vac and I would say it elimates about 95% of the dust.Alot of bang for the buck!

Best Table Saw under $500! Smooth ride!
The saw is a joy to use, especially if you need repeatable accuracy. The rack-and-pinion fence system maintains parallelism and it makes measurement as easy as dialing it in (yes, you can forget the tape measure)! The fence DOES NOT move when you lock it down. Compared to a cheap blue/orange table saw, the smoothness of operation made this saw feel like I was driving a Ferrari! At 45 pounds, this saw is portable and is surrounded by a steel roll bar cage with adjustable casters for extra durability. The only negatives I can say that the manual states we should NOT use a dado blade and that the splitter is not perfectly inline with the blade. I've tried to adjust the splitter with the manual and have gone so far as to shim it with tape, but it appears to be a design flaw. However, after using it for a year and a half, the operation of the saw does not appear to be impacted by this small detail. Additionally, the miter gauge is a little loose, but that's easily fixed with tape. I could also complain that 16" rip capacity can be somewhat limiting, but if it was larger, then it would not be as portable. The only time it has ever kicked-back (a couple of inches) was when I was stupidly doing a "climb-cut" by trying to shave off a corner on a piece of shelving. One more negative I could say, is that the yellow paint on the blade sometimes smears on the side of the cuts in the first four months of use. However, the cuts are so smooth, I've never felt the need to change the blade. Really, you can forget about all of my negatives and just enjoy the smoothness of this saw's operation. It is a joy to use!

Fantastic saw!
This is a really great compact saw. It's east to move and store, has an extremely accurate rip fence system, great safety designs. I've been eyeing this saw for the last year, and am thrilled I finally bought it. The mitre guage is a bit cheesy, but that's what my mitre saw is for.

Great saw!
Used this saw to install an engineered flooring in our spare bedroom and hallway. Saw is light in weight but performed flawlessly. Replaced the standard blade with a fine toothed carbide blade. Many pros on this product - no cons that I could find.

Good Value
I bought this saw to use on site at a house I'm building and so far its been a good saw for the money. Its easy to move around and set up on site and compact for transport. Once thru a fairly easy setup process, it cuts true and seems to have ample power. The rip fence works well and the drop down rest allows the operator to manage larger work on its compact table. I read some complaints about the blade and clearly its DeWalt's least expensive 24 tooth blade but it performs well for tasks that its intended. Obviously a 60 or 80 tooth blade is in order for finer finish work. I'd have given it a 5 if it wasn't for the miter gauge. It seems to be an after thought with no storage place provided on the saw when not in use and a sloppy fit to the table. Fortunately I (as probably most users) will look to other tools for cross cut work. I've bought several tools from CPO and always found them to be best on price, easy to deal with and prompt on delivery. I'd recommend this saw to someone looking for a table saw to use in the field or basic home project use.

How long is the arbor on this saw. Can I use a 3/4 in stacked head dado on it?
Randy on Aug 1, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Not if you have the same model I have. The arbor for mounting the dado isn't long enough. Depends on the model. But aside from that, I'm very satisfied with this saw.

Now I want to set back to do 90 degree cuts and the blade lock lever does not function and everything seems frozen at 45!! Anyone know whats happening??

New Vs. Reconditioned

What's the difference between New and Factory-Reconditioned?

Factory-Reconditioned products have been returned to the manufacturer and are restored to like-new operating condition; they go through a rigorous testing and inspection process. Plus, they offer a significant savings vs. new.
  • Reconditioned products may have minor cosmetic blemishes or scratches that do not affect item performance.
  • Reconditioned products may not come with all of the consumables the new version comes with (bits, sanding pads/papers, cases, etc.).
  • Both come with a manufacturer warranty and are covered by our Money Back Guarantee; New is 30 days, Reconditioned is 60 days.
