Wimpy, wimpy, wimpy.
Flimsy base that easily allows a un-square cut. Wished I would have spent more for a heavier duty model.

First time to order from CPO
Haven't had much real time with the Skil saw 5080 yet but it works and sounds fine. I appreciated the easy process to order from CPO and the speed of the shipment. I ordered it on Monday and received on Wednesday. So far so good.

Pot pwerful enough
I bought this saw to cut up some sanded plywood for an entryway bench that I'm making. I bought a new blade suitable for plywood, but it didn't seem powerful enough to cut through it. The blade kept getting stuck. Maybe it was how I had my plywood on the saw horses and table that was pinching the blade. Hard to tell. I ended up resorting to a jigsaw and a good quality clean wood blade. It was a lot slower, but more accurate. I'm sure I'll use this Skilsaw again, but my first impressions are that it's under powered.
