Great work knife
I use this at work on a daily basis. I've enjoyed the ergonomic shape and easy changing of blades. I flip it open dozens of times a night at work and its been great. I think the blade change is the best feature. A lot of expensive DeWalt and Lenox knives are a pain to load a blade in, this knife takes about 3 seconds to do it safely and it locks in nicely.

The only problem I've encountered is the lint from my pocket clogs the opening bearing. Even after oiling it still has to be opened by hand now. But it lasted over a year before that cloged. The knife is still excellent.

Fastback utility knife by Milwaukee tool
I'm an apprentice electrician. I use the knife all the time. It's one of those tools you always have on you. I've had mine for over a year and a half now so I guess it doesn't really owe me anything but I've had the screws fall out on me a couple of times. This time one is gone for good.

The knife itself works great, however the screws are a pain as they loosen with use and when loose prevent the knife from closing smoothly. If it came with a package of extra screws it would be wonderful. Definitely using lock tight on my next fastback knife.

GREAT TOOL
ALMOST IN EVERYTHING I DO, FROM OPENING BOXES, PLASTIC BAG OF PRODUCTS, OPENING APLIANCES, FRIDGES, ALL KINDS OF THEM, TO OPEN AIR CONDITIONING UNITS OUT OF THE BOX, WHEN RETILING FLOORS, WHEN CUTTING SHEET ROCK, WHEN REATTACHING NET TO WINDOW AND DOOR SCREENS. IT WORKS PERFECT WHEN CUTTING EDGES, I EVEN USE IT TO ADJUST DOOR STRIKERS, SO FAR ALL THE PEOPLE I WORK WITH AFTER PURCHASING AND EXCHANGING THEIR KNIVES FOR A FEW TIMES HAVE DECIDED TO GET A MILWAUKEE. GREAT LOOK FOR A PRO.

Best Utility Knife
The best utility knife out there. Not much more to say. It swings open with one hand and it's solid yet light. One tradeoff is that it doesn't store blades but that's no big deal.

A good knife
Overall a real good solid knife. Holds the blade really firm, little play in the folding mechanism.

Only real flaw is case screws that loosened up after some use, and require a tiny, special screwdriver bit which I don't have and have never seen.

I'd suggest to Milwaukee that they put a little LokTite on those screws, or supply the bit needed to tighten the screws.

Love it!
Great knife for every day use at the job site, or around the house. I work in highway safety, and have always found a use for utility knives like this. I bought the Fastback, however, because of the easier, one hand opening, and the added safety feature of the knife locking in the CLOSED position as well. One hand opening comes in handy at my job much more often than you'd think, and knowing that the knife wont accidentaly open up in my pocket sealed the deal for me. Also, the "gut hook" feature for quickly cutting small rope/wires is a great feature, too.

Well Built Knife, one thing though..
I've moved to folding knives to save room in my tool pouch, and this has been my favorite knife! However, one thing I would change is adding a guard to the blade release button. As an electrician, I commonly hold the knife in my right hand, thumbs up sign sideways, with the knife towards and above my thumb to strip down the side of large cables. But my index finger almost always releases the blade in the process, causing the blade to pop out while I'm stripping the cable. I love the quick opening ability of this knife, and feel while it's in use. Good knife, but would love a raised guard around that release button!

I like it but . . .
Two things I think should be changed:
Make the belt clip stronger. My first one didn't last a year before the thin wire hook snapped
Eliminate the gut hook. I never use it and it snags on the material when cutting with the blade out.
But overall I like it and keep it on my belt
