A great second pair of hands!
This is the best assistant - a second pair of very strong hands that does not have an opinion.

May be the BEST money I've ever spent!
I've had my JawHorse for just over two years. In addition to all the obvious uses, I mounted my portable table saw, compound sliding miter saw, router table and others on 3/4" plywood and use the JawHorse as a stand for each tool.
This is a well thought out, sturdy, very portable and versatile device. I don't know how I lived without one so long!

Imagination is the only Limit
My son, who is in the army, lived in a small apartment and was doing custom work on his weapons. So, had one of these sent to him. He uses it all the time and loves it. I then bought one for myself to help with the many on-going projects and innovations I do. In a nutshell, our imagination is the only limit to what this fantastic tool can be used for, besides all of the obvious ones shared in previous comments. This list is not complete, but gives an idea of what can be done with it. Straighten flexible copper tubing that I used to make my solar heat manifold; bend tubing, other parts by positioning them between the jaws and applying pressure; shape and crimp copper tubing to make battery connectors for my solar system; clamp piping to help with tightening or loosening pipe connectors; hold small parts for sanding, shaping, cutting, filing; used as an extension for radial arm saw, used as prtable, radial arm saw stand; so much more that I can't think of right now. The possibilities, to me, seem endless. I even had a couple of co-workers ask about something to hold their work while sanding, or routing wood pieces, and have referred them to this sight. In summary, I highly recommend this tool to anyone who does any kind of handy-man work, at home or on-site. It has its shortcomings, but very minor compared with the benefits of ease-of use, portability and sheer solid, reliable grip and strength. If they ever upgrade this, I'll be one of the first to buy one. I almost forgot, Susan, my wife, loves using this for the fine trim work she does while renovating our cabin., She sometimes even uses it as a small work table when staining and painting parts, by securing a sheet of plywood in the jaws.

Strong and Sturdy
Recently bought, but checked out using the JawHorse to secure material while making several different cuts. The JawHorse held the material securely through all the cuts. Much handier that setting up sawhorses and securing material with clamps. Good product

Bought two more
I liked my new JawHorse so well that I purchased one for my son and another for my son-in-law for Christmas. Holds boards tightly while measuring and sawing. Keeps paneling flat and firm. But the big surprise was I could grip and cut 6" diameter plastic pipe without the pipe rolling around. Great product.

Totally excellent!
This Jawhorse lives up to it's name! What makes it great you ask? It's simple and easy to use. It's completely solid and stable. It holds onto any shape completely and firmly. It's versatility with so many applications. It's as easy to set up as it is to fold away into a compact unit. It is truly one hand / one foot operation and almost best of all, it looks beyond cool! I am a garage geek, and this is truly is one of the best tools I own and will be buying several this year as gifts to my tool geek family and friends!

Adds Independence
I bought this a couple of months ago and I am really impressed with its stability and ease of use. It makes doing a job by yourself so much better because it handles projects that have been a two person job for me in the past. I used this to cut landscape timbers and it held them tightly in place while I cut them. I would definitely buy this again, but it is made so well that I doubt I will ever have to buy another, but IF I was to have to, this would be the one!
