Pleased with purchase
Husband bought a huge 2 stage gas snow thrower that's too heavy for me to handle, so I bought a Snow Joe Ultra 21" 15 amp electric. Fargo, ND had almost 7 inches of snow last night & Snow Joe chewed right through it. There were areas where it was 2+ feet drifted & by making a couple of passes, got that cleared.

The snow was fluffy & not heavy. It's necessary to be aware of where the cord is, but I didn't find that a nuisance. With a 100' cord, I was able reach most of the sidewalk & all of the driveway.

I like to be independent & not wait for husband/sons to move the snow. It's probable that heavy, wet snow would require the gas snow thrower, but this electric machine would be useful for most snow removal.

Snow Joe works well for me.

Great snow thrower. Only issue I have is the light doesn't stay on when the thrower isn't running. I need the light when maneuvering and not just moving snow.

A Beast
I live in Canada and I wanted a snow blower that was smaller, not expensive, but wouldn't compromise on doing the job. This machine will go through snow regardless of weight or height like a hot knife through butter.

It threw heavy snow, slushy snow which was 3 feet deep 6 to 8 feet no problem and never stopped. This machine truly is in a class in of itself for under $200.00 CAD when I purchased it at LOWES.

I wish I would have taken a video so that I could have posted it on this site for all to see an believe that you don't need an expensive $1,000.00 gas powered blower to do the job

Worked right out of the box after simple set up.
I was holding off on purchasing an electric snow thrower. However, the 21 inch 15 amp model got my attention, so I decided to purchase. We had our first snow/freezing rain (4inches in mid December. I was not sure if the thrower could handle the ice mix. It did, with some minor effort. Considering the heavy mix the Snow Joe worked better than expected.

Pretty good job in very bad conditions.
Yesterday I removed 6" of snow mixed with sleet and freezing rain (the heaviest snow I've ever encountered from my 70' driveway. I was very pleasantly surprised that a light duty machine like this was useful (not great, but useful) under such adverse conditions! I'm sure that it will work fine in about 95% of the snows that are more typical here in the Philadelphia area.

First Snow Blower (electric or otherwise
First snow fall of the season was a fluffy light 6" accumulation. Snow Joe goes right to the pavement to clean and blow the snow a good 20'. But after a while the shute clogged and would have to stop the process for a clean-out. The electric cord is somewhat a pain but a gas unit would have other issues I don't want to deal with.
The shute works better in a forward facing position but you are re-plowing the already plowed snow. A 21" wide capacity at times was too wide and could only successfully plow half that amount.
Good unit so far for first use.
The user instruction that came with the machine were poor at best.
Statement of the obvious- There is a learning curve for for the new user.

I'm afraid you're going to have to wait a few months before I can review this item. It's still summer. Ask me again in February! Though based on how well your mini electric snow shovel has worked here in Maine, I expect to be more than satisfied with this larger unit.
