Operating/Maintenance ease
Most reliable mower I've ever owned, always starts on 1st or 2nd pull even after being stored for winter. I'm disabled and have difficulty walking the Troy-Bilt mows at a perfect speed, handling with ease, bagging simple. I look forward to mowing. Unlike other mowers never had a problem with ethanol stopping up carb/fuel lines a big plus. Maintenance a breeze everything placed well, no having to contort yourself to get to certain areas. A pleasure

Very well made mower...
This mower really does a nice job with little effort needed. It looks great and handles thick grass with ease. The only negative comments I would give, is the "grate" in front of the mower that's there to help raise the grass for cutting, pushes leaves along and you have to raise the front of the mower to mulch any leaves in the yard. Of course the wind from the blade blows the leaves and it's difficult to run them down at times. Also, the safety "drag" on the back of the mower constantly folds up under the mower anytime you have to back up...even just a step or so. I don't see how this could be eliminated though so you have to pick up on the handle to get the rubber safety drag back to the proper position when you start forward again..

Great mower - so far!
While I have only used the mower once, I could be happier. Started on the second pull, allowed me to adjust the pace of the self-propel (found #2 to be best for me), and easily handled the hills in my yard. I finished the big areas and my wife tried it and one pull and off she went (her pace was #1). She was very pleased with the ease of use.

GOOD PRODUCT
IT IS A GOOD PRODUCT. I LIKE ALL OF THE FEATURES BUT ONE NEEDS HELP. THE DECK CLEANING DOES A GOOD JOB EXCEPT THAT IT DOES NOT REMOVE GRASS FROM THE REARBAG AND SIDE DISCHARGE AREAS. IT IS HARD TO HOLD THE FLAPS AND SPRAY THE AREAS WITH A HOSE. IF THE CLEANING IS NOT DONE THE GRASS WILL JUST CONTINUE TO ACCUMULATE.

Great mower, very light weight, easy to use, no priming to start, cold starts on second pull, warm starts on first, good self propelled speed.

I love it!
Being a 5'1" woman, I can tell you that height doesn't matter - I have no trouble pushing my mower. It turns on a dime and goes in reverse and keeps on mowing. This is the best push mower I have ever owned! Extremely intuitive! I really can't say much about durability as I haven't had it very long, but I know where my Service Warranty Work will be done and they are excellent so I am not afraid to own this Troy-bilt. This is replacing a Lawn Tractor, a Troy-bilt Pony that lasted us 10 years of "hard labor" and the only reason for replacing is we wore out the deck and it just isn't cost-effective to replace the deck. Living in Mississippi, we have an extremely long grass season and I look forward to mowing now.

So far, this is the best lawn mower I ever purchased.
I purchased this lawn mower to replaced, a (7) year old Troy-Bilt lawn mower, due to engine failure.
It had similar features as my new lawn mower; however, it not in the same league with this new Troy-Bilt. The new 715exi Briggs and Stratton engine starts on the first pull. My other mower had to be pulled several time and still might not start. It is light weight and the self propel have variable speed with option to increase or decrease walking speed. You can raise or lower the mower with one lever. It tend cut my grass uneven, due to the terrain, their are some low spots in my yard and the mower bottom out.
My only complaint, is the grass rake tool on the front of the lawn mower tend to push leaves in front of the mower, this will problem when I get ready to mulch leaves in the fall.
