Best ladder I've ever had!
I am an Heating, refrigeration and air conditioning service technician. I first purchased this ladder to aid in a remodeling project i was doing at home. Living and in Wisconsin, i usually used a 6' fiberglass ladder everyday for work. Having to strap it to a ladder rack full of snow in the winter was a pain. I started using this ladder at work and its awesome! I can keep it inside my van,its light, and also is nice to use as a 13' extension ladder. I've had it for 3 years now working with it in a commercial environment and never had an issue. Also very affordable, worth every dime! I wish they made another size of this ladder in between this and the next size up!

Great Ladder
I purchased this ladder to put the Christmas lights on the house this year. I bought the MT-26 model. I did a lot of research and decided I wanted an articulating ladder for misc maintenance around my current house, which I bought last year and is a two story. I have high lightbulbs in chandeliers (can use this as a step ladder) and as an extension ladder I can reach all the windows and eaves on my two story house.

I feel I need to preface my review by saying I'm not particularly fond of working from ladders. I'm not at all afraid of heights, but once over about 12ft or so I tend to get uneasy on a ladder. All that to say I'm not a contractor who is going up and down ladders all day every day.

The MT-26 is absolutely rock solid as a step ladder or A-frame, even fully extended. Much more so than any ladder I've every owned. It's very good as an extension ladder too, although it does seem a bit bouncy on the trip up. I especially noticed this about mid-way up when crossing the articulating hinges. However once you get up to height and stop moving around it feels pretty solid. The wide base on both ends is a big help. You can lock it in against the house and the eave and it seems there is no way it could go over sideways. Total confidence booster.

The one negative I have is that it's kinda difficult to put up as an extension ladder. You pretty much need some help. There is no way to extend it in the vertical position once you get so high you can no longer reach the locking pins. It can be done, but you have to "walk" it up the house all the way and can be hard to avoid windows, shutters, etc...

I think the best benefit of this ladder is it's versatility and what you get for the money. I would have liked to look at Little Giant ladders also, but Home Depot had these in stock and the weather was cooperating for the weekend I needed to get the Xmas lights up. Very happy with the purchase so far.

Excellent Ladder
I have used a lot of different ladders over the years as a security insallation tech, I have used the little giant ladder as well and this one is really top notch. I bought it specifically for use on stairs and It is the most stable ladder I have used on stairs.. works well for painting and hanging photos. Also for tall rooms as a step ladder..

Strong, Compact and Versatile
I have one these ladders almost 9 years and I would easily be using it several times a week, if not several times a day. I really like it because it has a good solid and stable feel to it and I always feel safe on it. A lot of my customers have even commented about its robust appearance and how easy it can adapt to my needs and still fold up nice and compact. Best ladder I have ever owned.

Very sturdy and very heavy ladder
There are trade-offs with any product and that is true for this ladder. The MT-26 provides a very stable 13 foot step ladder but it also is very heavy and the steps are less than half as wide as those of a regular step ladder and so not comfortable for standing on for any amount of time.

The rungs are also too far apart to use something like the Werner AC24 tray so I need to tie a bucket to the ladder for parts I need when at the top.

Very easy to adjust the height on each side and not have to support the entire weight of the ladder. I have similar ladders and they are not nearly as easy to adjust even though they are much shorter ladders.

As this is a very heavy ladder I would recommend buying only as tall a MT ladder as you actually will need.

This ladder at the fully extended length is not even 11'. We purchased it to get on the roof of our motorhome and knew we needed a 13' ladder that this one is CLEARLY advertised as.
