When my older B&D edger motor went out on me I went to buy another edger just like it. The newer model was way more expensive then I thought it would be and the available model does not have the black handle for your left hand. The black handle for your left hand helped me guide the edger against the cement. Without it it is very difficult to guide it properly. Had to hold the stick for guidance which did not go as well as I would have liked. Caused lots of sparks. Poor design flaw on this model. Not nearly as happy with one as I was with the former model.

I was a little uncertain about buying this edger after reading the reviews. However, I knew I could return it if unhappy. I was pleasantly surprised: yesterday I edged our driveway and, other than just getting used to edging (first time), the edger did very well. No issues at all! And, if there are other women that are looking at the reviews, don't hesitate to buy, it is certainly easier to maintain than a gasoline edger!

I bought this edger (model LE750) to replace my broken, 5 year old model LE750, expecting it to be the same as my broken one. I was so wrong. This model does not have the black handle for your left hand. Without the black handle for your left hand guiding the edger is impossible. I have used the Black and Decker Edge Hog, for at least 17 years and loved it, but now all of the stores have is this remodeled vision. I am VERY, no EXTREMELY disappointed. I want the old handle configuration back....PLEASE

I have only used this product for about an hour or two total. I had some overgrowth around the sidewalks which required me to use trench mode, to get the thicker stuff, it worked well. I then finished up with a more basic edge at 1.25 or 1.5 depth. After using it for the first time, I would say it is going to be a good "buy" for me. I expect this thing to perform for years down the road, as many have said. I would read the owner's manual so you understand the difference between trench and edge mode. Setting it up was very easy. After putting it together, glancing the owner's manual, and setting up(extension cord), I was ready to edge in probably fifteen minutes.

This is the second one of the edger/trencher like this that I have purchased. Love the finished look of my driveway and sidewalk when I finish a quick job of neatening up the yard. My neighbor and I share yard work - he mows both yards; I do the edging - and the LE750 is perfect for us. Will never use a string trimmer for that purpose again. Thank you, B&D, for making such a great product!

Why is there no parts listing for replacement parts? I am not going to purchase a new edger every time the blade needs replacing. I bought the edger at Sears, however they do not carry replacement parts and told me I need to order it on line.

BEST ANSWER: When this Edgehog is running, it sound like the blade is gear driven off the motor and at lower speed than the motor. The works are hidden inside the plastic housing. There is no mention of a belt or belt maintenance in the product's manual.
The one I am looking at is $92. Is this refurbushed?

BEST ANSWER: The Black & Decker 11 Amp 7-1/2 in. EDGEHOG 2-in-1 Electric Edger Model #bdknle750 is NEW not reconditioned.

    New Vs. Reconditioned

What's the difference between New and Factory-Reconditioned?

Factory-Reconditioned products have been returned to the manufacturer and are restored to like-new operating condition; they go through a rigorous testing and inspection process. Plus, they offer a significant savings vs. new.
    • Reconditioned products may have minor cosmetic blemishes or scratches that do not affect item performance.
    • Reconditioned products may not come with all of the consumables the new version comes with (bits, sanding pads/papers, cases, etc.).
    • Both come with a manufacturer warranty and are covered by our Money Back Guarantee; New is 30 days, Reconditioned is 120 days.
