Excellent portable saw
I've had this saw since 2016. Used in rehabbing 2 condos and built several pieces of furniture and accessories. Condo life is restrictive on workshop space. This saw fits in a small space. It is a reliable tool. To get top cross cut performance you'll need an after-market miter gauge. It is loud and starts with a bang. But a strong motor and the 10" blade capacity opens it up to major projects. The rip fence was initially a little iffy, but consulting the manual and tweaking, it provides true, repeatable cuts. Strongly recommend getting the Bosch stand. Makes life so much easier.

I wish the saw was a soft. The saw has a very hard start.
I also would liked the saw better if there was more room between the on/off switch and the blade adjustment controls

Cons
Loud
Saw motor became so noisey like bearings were shot after just a few days of use.
Used this saw for very short time then motor loud noises appeared, blade seemed to be of low quality in cutting/ripping doug fir 2x4s so I removed the blade to inspect. Reinstalled blade, noise continued and then blade would not stay on creating a major hazard. Tightened blade several times, same problem rendering this tool a safety hazard. Requested CPO to take it back, they approved return but at my expense for shipping and insuring the saw. CPO informed me several times in emails that a refund would be done upon delivery to destination. Delivery was successful by UPS, still waiting for refund on day numer five after return.

great saw but plastic guides on fence break easy
i love this saw. i stays in my van at all times and i have the stand which is very convinient. however the guides for the fence broke quickly and easily. dust collection is very poor too, but for most jobsites that's not a problem

Good Saw, Lot of room for improvement.
I have used this saw now for 2 years, I primarily use this in the field on job sites 2-3 days a week. I have had some issues with the saw motor from day one that can be very frustrating.
1. 15 Amps is great for power but unfortunately most older homes residential garage circuits are 15 amp as well. So it seems to overload and trip breakers frequently with even a small load on the motor, need to be plugged into a 20 amp circuit when ever possible.
2. The motor has issues running on GFCI protected circuits, will trip 95% of the time.
3. When the motor turns on the motor hits hard, so hard that over time the bevel adjustment can loosen. I usually notice that has happened after a cut when the bevel starts to drift mid cut.
4. Some parts are cheap and break easily, fence was only used a few times before it broke. I use an aftermarket saw stand that has its own fence so this has not been an issue. I just recently had the plastic nut that holds the wrenches and push stick break out of nowhere, my guess is that it was deteriorated by weather, it could be fixed with a stainless steel part.
It has been a good saw but a soft start motor and some metal parts would make this saw last as long as my TS4000 (10 years).

Awesome, affordable saw
Killed my old table saw ripping Malaysian balau - a very hard wood. This Bosch had no problem with it. Cuts through pine like butter. Absolutely straight cuts, easy to use.

Rip fence is a bit sloppy
Overall, it's a fine table saw, but when setting the rip fence, you need to measure to both sides of the blade and recheck after locking down. With a little bit of "fudging," you can get it square, but unless you check, it will be off by 1/16" between front and rear sides of blade.

I need to be able to cut plywood into 24" pieces. Is there an adaption to make This saw cut that width or what do you which is similar and will cut 24" widths?
Jeff on Dec 18, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I've not seen anything like that. But most of woodworking is about creating a jig to either modify your tool or hold the work piece safely so you can get the outcome you want. You have to find a way to do it safely and you shouldn't proceed if you're not sure about safety. You know, anyone can build anything with an unlimited tool budget. In your case you may be able to build a side extension with a homemade fence. Assuming you have a through cut, the anti-kickback spawl and the riving knife should provide a level of comfort against kickback. If you're not comfortable with this, clamp a 2x4 to the plywood and use a skillsaw. The trick is to do it with the available tools and to not get hurt! Good luck!
