nice to have a sharp bit again
This is the first bit I have owned designed to make holes in concrete (4 inch floors and 10 inch walls) that accomodate 2 inch PVC pipe. It is quicker and cleaner than my old method of drilling 4 1 inch holes and chipping out the debris.
The negative is that the core bit central chamber that collects the concrete core is prone to get the concrete chunks stuck in it.
A beter design would include an easily removable centering pin so that after the hole is started the pin would come out because it is no longer needed, and and then the scrap concrete would have one less thing to bind up on and be easier to remove.
I have only made about 6 holes with it so far but I am glad I bought it.
