Easy To Use
Excellent Product [...]
[...] Second, the product is excellent. Although various write-ups left me confused about its use with solid hardwood flooring, it works just fine - at least with 5/16" hardwood. I laid about 600 sq-ft of oak flooring without a single jam. The unit requires accurate placement before the safety feature will let the gun fire; I worked hard to fire it incorrectly, just to see if I could. The unit is lightweight, easy to use and load. The dry-fire lockout feature is great, but it only works if you lift the unit from its firing position between trigger-pulls. If you slide the gun along the wood tongue, you can dry fire all day long. The staples are visible in the chamber though, so you can easily see when you are getting down to the last 10 staples or so. There are two minor improvements I could suggest. First, a pressure/depth dial would be nice, so the depth wasn't set by the compressor's regulator. Second, it would be very nice if the flooring adaptor could be completely removed so the gun could be used as a stand-alone stapler. While you can remove the 45-degree attachment (and need to in order to reverse it for use with different thickness flooring)it leaves a wide plate that limits how close you can get the staple to the edge of a board. You couldn't get within 2 inches of a corner if you try to install crown molding, for example. The kit comes with extra rubber tips, which is good because they wear out if you slide the gun along the wood tongue to avoid lifting it between firings. The kit also comes with 1000 2" staples to get started, and a heavy block of UHD material which turns out to be extremely helpful for banging pieces of flooring together for a tight fit before stapling. I wish I'd had it when I installed the snap-and-lock flooring in my sister's house!Overall, great product, great company!

Piece of JUNK! Used it maybe 1/2 hr ,
Piece of JUNK! Burrs on the sliding mechanism that contacts the trigger, Jambs every other shot , Locks up when connecting air to gun. Have to send off for warranty work. Just got to love quality control nowadays. Have lots of air tools as a contractor for 30 years. Just NOT impressed!

No Problems, NO Drama
Right out of the box, I found the tool was not heavy at all, but well constructed. I found the swivel air connection to be helpful with keeping the air hose out of my work area, which also help with tool management. I was laying an engineered floor and found the adjustable foot pad easy to use. I put down a 400 SFT Cherry hardwood floor and didn't have any problems with the foot pad going out of adjustment, or any stapler jams. It also had a great feature that my old stapler didn't, in which the tool would lock up and not engage the floor if it was empty. This was the right tool for the job, and help me finish my project DRAMA FREE !!

Great Floor Stapler for engineered wood
Great floor stapler. Very fast production rate and extremely reliable. We love using this tool. And the case makes it convenient. I am very pleased about this tool and about 25,000 sq/ft plus later still works like the day I got it. Just perfect.

I'm having issues with one leg of staple penetrating and other leg curling up. Is this a gun issue or something else? I'm putting down bamboo engineered 3/8".
Darrel on Apr 10, 2015
BEST ANSWER: This stapler should not have any problems driving a 3/8 staple into bamboo, the unit may be defective or your psi might need to be adjusted.

New Vs. Reconditioned

What's the difference between New and Factory-Reconditioned?

Factory-Reconditioned products have been returned to the manufacturer and are restored to like-new operating condition; they go through a rigorous testing and inspection process. Plus, they offer a significant savings vs. new.
  • Reconditioned products may have minor cosmetic blemishes or scratches that do not affect item performance.
  • Reconditioned products may not come with all of the consumables the new version comes with (bits, sanding pads/papers, cases, etc.).
  • Both come with a manufacturer warranty and are covered by our Money Back Guarantee; New is 30 days, Reconditioned is 120 days.
