Great Product
Only jammed once during use. Tried it first on some test pieces to adjust proper air pressure. Had no problems installing engineered wood floor approximately 200 Sq ft. Plan one doing another 400 on later products.

Piece of JUNK! Used it maybe 1/2 hr ,
Piece of JUNK! Burrs on the sliding mechanism that contacts the trigger, Jambs every other shot , Locks up when connecting air to gun. Have to send off for warranty work. Just got to love quality control nowadays. Have lots of air tools as a contractor for 30 years. Just NOT impressed!

Great tool, no major complaints.
4 1/2 stars rounded up to 5.
I used this gun to install about 450 sq ft of engineered hardwood, i fired 1500 staples, the gun jammed twice, the staple didnt cause the jam but something inside the firing mechanism. I think both times it was because of user error. I had my six year old son helping me pull the trigger, he thought it was a blast and was trying to fire as fast as possible, i think something happened when the trigger was partially pulled and then released too quickly, which caused the firing pin thingy to jam. (can you tell I am a DIYer, i dont know the part names!) 2 jams in 1500 is good enough for me considering the price I paid for the tool. The head is very easy to adjust to your specific wood size. rubberized handle and rubber pads stratigically placed on the gun did a good job protecting the floor, even with little hands helping... and dropping things!
Some reviews said the tips kept falling off, mine never did.
The safety button is a bit too touchy for me, being lesft handed, my natural grip on the gun was right on the safety button so i kept pressing it by accident. i guess that is my punishment for being left handed.
It would be nice if the head could be removed and have the gun usable as a regular stapler, which would allow me to keep and use it forever, as it is, it is not of much worth to me now, I knew this ahead of time, and i planned to resale it after my floor was completed.
Over all very satisfied.

Buy two. One to have at the repair shop
I purchased this tool to use for installing 9/16" engineered hardwood floors. My past experience with Bostitch staplers has been good. I have 4 other Bostitch hardwood staplers. This gun has been to the repair shop two times and has to go back. (shot 5 boxes of staples) The safety / lockout system continues lock up. So very disappointed because it fails right in the middle of a job with a customers house tore up. Not sure if I received a lemon or if this is typical for this tool. Called Bostitch cust. service line and just told to take to service center. Save your money and buy a different brand of stapler if you are going to use this as a pro.

I'm having issues with one leg of staple penetrating and other leg curling up. Is this a gun issue or something else? I'm putting down bamboo engineered 3/8".
Darrel on Apr 10, 2015
BEST ANSWER: This stapler should not have any problems driving a 3/8 staple into bamboo, the unit may be defective or your psi might need to be adjusted.

New Vs. Reconditioned

What's the difference between New and Factory-Reconditioned?

Factory-Reconditioned products have been returned to the manufacturer and are restored to like-new operating condition; they go through a rigorous testing and inspection process. Plus, they offer a significant savings vs. new.
  • Reconditioned products may have minor cosmetic blemishes or scratches that do not affect item performance.
  • Reconditioned products may not come with all of the consumables the new version comes with (bits, sanding pads/papers, cases, etc.).
  • Both come with a manufacturer warranty and are covered by our Money Back Guarantee; New is 30 days, Reconditioned is 120 days.
