This is an ELECTRICAL cable cutter!
This is an electrician's cable cutter, designed for cutting large diameter ELECTRICAL CABLE whose conductors are made of pure copper or pure aluminum, along with its surrounding rubber or plastic insulation. This tool is NOT designed for cutting galvanized steel cable, or AISI 316 stainless steel "aircraft" cable. Cutting steel cable requires a specialized tool with hardened steel blades/jaws that have a very different blade geometry than this tool does. ( I happen to own both kinds of "cable cutter". ) So if you need to cut large copper or aluminum electrical cables of up to size #0000 (or possibly larger), this is a good tool for that, and it works well. If you're cutting galvanized steel or stainless-steel cable, then this is the WRONG TOOL for the job!

That said, the Channellock cable cutter is a much better electrical cable cutter than the Chinese import "El Cheapo" brand available at "Hazard Fraught" stores , and the biggest differences that you can see and feel are the quality of the hinge/pivot, and the durability of the handle cushioning material. Although I haven't made enough cuts in large copper cable with both tools to be completely sure, I suspect that the blades of the Channellock tool will also outlast my H.F. cable cutter as well.

This is a quality tool.

Not as good as advertised, waist of money even at reduced price
Jaws are to soft, I cut 1/8” 316SS cable twice with nice clean cuts. I needed to cut cable once more to accomplish my project (replacing my skag cable on my NDK Kayak) so the cutter frayed the cable the jaws spread apart. I inspected the tool it’s jaws were flattened not sharp fine edges. I had to use a hand grinder to complete the cut.
This is the cable in previous photo, judge for your self
