Impressed with saw
First of all this saw arrived in good condition, in a strong box with form-fitted Styrofoam packing all around it. It is beautiful and clean and solid. Secondly it cuts right-on without any blade alignment or fence adjustments. The swivel miter mechanism is smooth and quiet, and the indents line up perfectly. The horizontal handle keeps one's arm out of the line of sight, which is a really nice feature that allows the user to operate it from left & right angles without losing sight of the saw mark. The blade itself is a good universal all-purpose cutter. I may or may not replace it with a finer tooth blade but for now it's just fine. I cut a quarter inch dowel with it without any shredding of the wood, and cuts on molding come out quite clean with very minimal feathering on the underside. I crosscut a 2 x 6 in one pass and that's plenty good enough for a home user like myself. This tool feels well made and solid without being too heavy to move around, and it's bolt holes fit perfectly on my Bosch Gravity Rise saw stand mounts. I'm happy and relieved that it is what I hoped to get and I don't really have any 'cons' to say about it. I may buy a laser guide for it but that's really not an issue for me, as I would probably end up making the fine cuts on picture frame molding with my usual method of incremental 'shaving' off cuts by eye even if it had a laser. This saw is a good compromise between the much heavier sliding versions and the inexpensive small-blade chop saws that are still available. If you're a contractor who builds houses for a living, it still might be the right tool because it's big enough to cut large boards without being a back-breaking monster to lug around on the job site. But if you need to cut wide beams and facia boards then of course a sliding saw would be necessary. Anyway, I'm a happy customer.

Great Saw!
I've used a DeWalt 12' compound miter for years: good, solid, saw. When it fell down 2 stories, I thought I'd try the lighter 10" version. It's a really great saw: easy to lug around the job site, cuts clean with the factory blade.

Just what I need
Nice saw, didn't need the bells and whistles. Good power, does what it needs to. Looked like a new saw when it arrived, hardly a scratch on it for being a reconditioned unit.

Right on
This is my first mitre saw - and used it on my first engineered flooring install in our spare bedroom and hallway. The saw worked wonderfully - no problems whatsoever. I did replace the stock blade with a 60 tooth carbide blade. The cuts were precise (when I measured correctly!) and the finished job looks professional.

Home owner
I owned a 12" dewalt and had to sell it (cancer). this 10" does everything I want it to do very well. Angel setting locks into place. The bevel ajustment has a metal handle. Checked the settings every one was correct. This saw cuts as easy though a 4x4 as it does a 1x4. All for a good price and when the box arrived the saw looks like new!!! I will buy another tool form CPO soon. Also the staff is top of the crop.

DeWalt Perfection!
This saw works flawlessly and is a joy to operate. Its miters are dead on and it cuts like a scalpel.I tried a different brand prior to this one to save a few bucks but exchanged it for this one. So glad I did! Well worth the extra money spent. I am very pleased with all aspects of this saw and have no negatives whatsoever. It was just a little more than I wanted to spend at the time but worth every penny.

New Vs. Reconditioned

What's the difference between New and Factory-Reconditioned?

Factory-Reconditioned products have been returned to the manufacturer and are restored to like-new operating condition; they go through a rigorous testing and inspection process. Plus, they offer a significant savings vs. new.
  • Reconditioned products may have minor cosmetic blemishes or scratches that do not affect item performance.
  • Reconditioned products may not come with all of the consumables the new version comes with (bits, sanding pads/papers, cases, etc.).
  • Both come with a manufacturer warranty and are covered by our Money Back Guarantee; New is 30 days, Reconditioned is 120 days.
