Decent entry level table saw for beginners
This saw cuts smaller pieces of wood just fine when I had it, so it does what it is supposed to do, for a beginner. However, it is not for the frequent user or the demanding user because:
1. No dust port, so my garage workshop was two inches deep in wood dust because it took me so long to vacuum every corner that I couldn't afford the time to vacuum 10 minutes for every 5 minutes I used the saw. This was the reason I had to upgrade, as I got to the point where I didn't want to go into my workshop for anything because the wood dust covered all my tools and the entire floor, and more.
2. Limited ability to cut large pieces of wood, so no 4x4 lumber, no wood longer than fairly minimal dimensions of this table top, no dado capability.
3. Maybe there are more limitations, but I'm just not advanced enough to appreciate them just yet.

So in summary, occasional cutting of smaller pieces of wood is great, considering I bought a refurb for $99. However, if you are a more involved wood worker, you'll find it too rudimentary for anything other than the most basic and simple cutting tasks.

how to set blade to cut miter?
charles m on Feb 16, 2017
BEST ANSWER: You don’t set the blade to cut miter. You set the miter gauge so that the pieces comes in at an angle instead of facing the saw at 90 degrees.

When you set the blade at an angle using the handle that you rotate, you are using it In A different way ( I forget the technical term).
What is the working height of the saw table on the stand? I would like to match a worktable to the saw instead of building something from sawhorses. Thanks.

why should I pay the same amount of money to buy a refurbished one, instead of a brand new one from homedepot.
it costs the same.
Gurol on Feb 9, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Purchasing reconditioned tools is a great alternative to purchasing but it has to make sense. If you can purchase the same tool new in the store for the same price as a reconditioned tools, the incentive of buying a reconditioned tool no longer exists.
