The Best Ever!
Being a mechanical contractor, air conditioning over 850 existing churches within a 150 mile radius of NYC, I have bought a lot of tools in my careers...including other Greenwork’s products. This pole saw, however, is the best of all time. Highly recommend!!

Describe Yourself:
A very solid, well made tool.
I've only used it once so far, to test it, and found it is suitable, and that it really cuts fast. I have a Greenworks 16" chainsaw so I had the battery already. I have routinely used a handsaw tree blade attached to a really long fir pole for fairly high limbs; no more -- too much work! You just have to love battery tools.

It's a bit heavier than anticipated, so you just let it rest on your limb, no pushing down is needed, or wanted. Get ready to hold it up because it will cut that limb fast. I plan to also use it (try it) for making final cuts when dropping problem trees for which standing off 6 ft. or more appears desirable. 4 stars due to weight; I'm almost a geezer.

Great product! Great Design and very durable. The product works exactly like a gas chainsaw but much quieter with no trips to the gas station. I am also very impressed with the G-Max series in general. Great products at an amazing price. I will definitely pass on the word. If I were to change anything I would add a handle like the one on the G-Max weed eater. It is a bit heavy which makes it a bit uncomfortable to use. This is the only reason I did not give 5 stars.

This is my go to for cutting down smaller trees and cutting up large limbs. Long battery life. Can handle a lot of cutting situations.

Review for tree trimming chainsaw
I have found that this works very well. Only draw back… Is the weight when fully extended is sometimes difficult to hold in position

Does what I need...
It's kind of light weight, but that is a plus. I have used gas pole saws and this kind of work is a bit scary when a big limb falls down on you. At least with this one you can let off the trigger while evading the falling limb. Battery life is rather short compared with the chain saw and 14" weed eater, but that's OK because I don't really enjoy this particular chore. It seems to like to use a lot of bar oil. I am cutting through 6-8 inch Oak /Fir. It tends to beep at you and shut off fairly easily if you get aggressive in big wood. It would be nice if they made this with the Digi Pro motor.

Complemented the 16" saw nicely for trail projects.
I really liked my 16" 40v saw... now, I only breakout the gas saws for really big projects/problems. The pole saw uses the same batteries (expensive) as the 16" saw, so adding this to the quiver was a nice addition. It works great for brushing right down on the ground as it does for limbing up high. Its nice to reach in and not have to climb in to make the cuts.

Great to trim high branches
Powerful and easy to use. I have several Greenworks 40 V G-Max batteries and a charger from other Greenworks tools. All work fine and the shared batteries save $$$.

does it come with a charger ?
Mrockwell on Jun 13, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The model I bought did not. I have the 16" chainsaw w/4AH battery and charger. I picked up the pole saw and another 4AH battery separately. I did not want a 2AH battery... and the charger with the 16" saw was all I needed.

Elad on Nov 30, 2014
