I'll be using this mower from now on
I am a 72-year-old woman who loves yard work but only recently decided to mow my own yard. This mower is perfect. I especially like the ease of starting it and the light weight. It does a great job cutting my St. Augustine grass which has a tough reputation. Yes, it is a bit of a nuisance to deal with an electric cord, but I don't mind it as it's better for me than dealing with batteries or gas and pull cord starters.

Great Mower
I bought this mower for my wife, who enjoys cutting grass. It is lightweight and easy to push. The lever on the side makes it easy to adjust the cutting lenghth. The foam covered handle makes it comfortable to use. The only issue we had, is that the flap that covers the back of the mower kept getting sucked under the blade when the mower hit an uneven surface. So, when we had to go up a small grade and then had to pull the mower back, the flap would easily get sucked under. We decided to just remove it entirely and now there are no issues. This is a straightforward mower with no frills. Does a great job cutting though. Very happy with it.

Good product, great service
The lawnmower works very well, but it CPO's service that stands out. When I received the mower it would not start because of a fractured plastic part in the handle assembly. CPO took back the damaged mower and immediately shipped a replacement, which is working very well.

The mower was easy to assemble and is easy to use in the mulching configuration that I use. Good power for a less expensive machine.

Great service, CPO. Many thanks.

I have a medium sized lawn. This lawnmower has all the power you need, is very quiet and has ZERO air pollution. Thanks to all those who reviewed and helped to convince me of this purchase. I will reiterate what they said: Come up with a pattern for your lawn where you cut in rows gradually going away from the cord ==> i.e. work your pattern so you dont run over the power cord!

good little mower
Very light weight mower that doesn't sacrifice power. Slowed just a little when cutting thick wet weeds a little over a foot tall. Easy to clean and store.

Love this Lawn Mower!
I love this lawn mower. It's the first time I've ever mowed a lawn and it was as easy as pushing a vacuum cleaner :-) The only think is be very careful not to run over the cord. However I wanted one with a cord since I didn't want to have to deal with a battery.

I have a medium sized lawn as I have an end unit townhome. I originally had the Reel Lawn Mower, but it did a poor job cutting weeds. Add to that the fact that I have a decent hill to cut, and this product takes care of my issues.

Can I use a 14 gauge 100 ft. extention cord with this product? What is the recommended length and gauge of the extention cord that should be used with this product?
mountain1 on Sep 17, 2014
BEST ANSWER: 14 gauge is too light for 12 amps at 100 feet; it would result in too much voltage drop. THAT will burn out the motor eventually. However, 12 gauge will work as the voltage drop will be only about 4 volts at 100 feet. Can't believe the "expert" cannot properly answer this question.
What size electrical cord should be used with the Greenworks 25012 12 Amps electric lawn mower?
I need a 100 ft. cord for this mower.
DD on Apr 27, 2013
BEST ANSWER: You can use a 100 foot extension cord. You just have to make sure that the wire gauge size is appropriate for the voltage and amperage draw.

I went to one of the many voltage drop calculators out on the net, and what it tells is, that running a 12 amp mower with a 100 foot extension cord, would give you a voltage of 116 assuming your are starting with 120 volts at the outlet, USING A 12 GAUGE extension cord. That voltage would be safe to run this mower.

Using any smaller gauge extension cord would absolutely create problems for you. The cord would start to feel warm (potentially causing a fire from the cord insulation melting). The motor on the mower would potentially burn out from too low a voltage, etc.

Anyway, you get the idea, right? Be safe, spend the money on a good quality properly gauged extension cord, and all should be well.

An aside: Some of the extension cords come with a lifetime guarantee that are replaced with no questions asked replacement policy.
is this mower reversible? In other words, will the handle flip to both ends for operation in both directions?
garyg on Aug 30, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No, this mower is not reversible.
no where does this site give the overall dimensions of this mower how wide and how high is it?
Mario E on May 21, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hi, It is 20.5 inches wide including the wheels, 25 inches long including the wheels and 13 inches high. It is a great lawnmower in fact our neighbor borrowed out and then bought one for himself.
I have had my Green Works mower for over 5 years and love it but have on occasion hit things that have damaged the blade. I had it sharpened once but would just like to get a new blade. I am capable of installation, just want to know where/how to order a blade for the 18" electric side blow mower you now list at $125.
