Mower does not perform as advertised
Started out great. Bought through Home Depot just 3 months ago. After 2 months of use, the battery quits after 1/2 hour of mowing, switch to the other and the smaller battery quits after 10 minutes. Very frustrating. 1/3 acre of lawn, this should not happen

Works Great!
I bought my 19” mower several months ago and have been very pleased with its performance. It is a lot quieter and less maintenance compared to a gasoline mower. The 2 batteries it came with can be charged fairly quick and my yard is small which I can cut with the 2.0 battery. With the 4.0 battery I can cut 2 small yards at least.

Easy Mowin'!
I would highly recommend this mower. Push button start, no yanking on a rope handle and wearing out your shoulder. Also another great benefit, no gas to go buy and pour, and spill.

A Great Improvement Over Gas
I've had my Greenworks Mover for about two years now. I use it to mow a 4000-sq ft lawn. Most of the time, I can get the job done with the single larger battery. I've also found that it works great as a vacuum to pick up leaves from the lawn and gravelled areas.

Exellent Mower for small yards
I purchased another 4AH battery. I only do one yard at a time - Front yard then Back yard next day. The bag is not the easiest to get off and on, but manageable. The mower can choke down on heavy grass, so cut a narrow swath to keep from overloading the unit. Keep the blade sharp or use lots of battery. I have had mine for three years. Motor brushes showing some wear, as unit has problems starting when hot.

Good choice for small lawns.
This model came with 2 batteries, That I appreciated. It folds up small and I am able to clean it and store in the basement without gasoline. I am able to do a lot 30x100 that has a small house on it. with enough battery to do a little of neighbors with the bigger battery. It is easy to operate fairly light to maneuver. I am concerned about longevity, though that is yet to be seen. I have mowed 2 times and happy with purchase, I did get the trimmer as a bare tool and it was a good compliment.

Great but ....
Loved this tool but I need it in an 80V so when I haven't been able to get to my lawn due to weather or time constraints.
At 40V, high growth requires a time-consuming second cut.
Also, R+D might consider a solar retrofit that offers self-propel support. My hills are so steep that even with a light machine, extra support is required. An add-on upgrade would be considerate of the consumer so we don't have to keep buying entirely new equipment every time developers have a great idea. Planned obsolescence is a unfair manipulation that also hurts the financially strapped consumer.

FYI on Cordless Lithium Battery Driven Mower
Lots too love, especially for someone with a smaller area to cover. At just under an acre with high pitched hills and at 61, I really do miss the self-propelled feature of the gas mower. So, I ask R+D to consider an add-on that is an easy solar-driven retrofit to serve as assist for hills.

As well, if any upgrades are developed, please design solutions that can be integrated into the older models; so, the consumer doesn't have to invest in an entirely new upgrade.

I also found that the path I cut always needed to be recut in order to capture a missed line of grass, an experience I never had with my old gas. But, going out now and I will report if it's just that I purchased a deck that is smaller than that to which I am accustomed i.e. my old gas mower.

Nonetheless, I feel great that I am no longer contributing to the carbon footprint with a fossil fuel driven mower.

The entire industry needs to stop the madness and go 'solar lithium battery'!

Why do these mowers come with 2 different size batteries but only need 1 or the other to operate? Also, what is the difference between a 40 V G-Max & a 40 V Lithium Ion battery?
