Not a long lasting product
I bought this product 2 different times. The first one lasted 2 years. Then the motor stopped. So last year I replaced it with the same one thinking it was a fluke and I could use the same batteries. This second one started humming and than smoking. Now I am out of lawn mower. 2 in 3 years. I do love the fact that of the convenience of no gas and cords. When I started looking for the convenience, the selections were limited.

one of my best purchases EVER!!
I trash picked my old lawn mower in 1992. My son said it was trash then and continued to be until late last fall when I promised it only 1 more cut so this spring I was looking to buy. We did alot of research and then 1 day I opened my email and liked this mower, lightweight, easy start, 25% off and bagger SOLD. 2 full cuts on 1 charge and mulches dry leaves to boot. I am in heaven!!

I brought a previous one and was so satisfied with it that it was no need for another decision on something different especially when the warranty said 4 years and I had it for six

My daughter purchased one of these mowers last fall and absolutely loves it. This spring when my husband and I were considering purchasing a new mower, we had a chance to try out our daugher's. After years of dealing with gas, oil, pulling the cord to get it started and the weight of a traditional mower, we purchased this mower for our yard. I absolutely love it! So easy to start and use. Not as heavy and so quiet our neighbor commented that he didn't even know I was mowing. I just make sure to keep the batteries charged and I'm ready to go. Will be replacing other gas powered yard equipment in the near future. Wonderful product. I asked for this mower for my Mother's Day gift and its the best gift yet.

we bought the mower over a month ago. we have mowed several times. grass grows fast we have had a lot of rain. It is so easy to start. Love it. it is easy to push. The kids love it also. Sometimes we need to go over some spots twice as it leaves a strip in the middle, We also bought a cultivator/tiller. Great garden tool.

Great company and product not twin blades though
Green works has the best customer service I have ever dealt with. I have the chain saw and this lawn mower. Any problems are dealt with no,questions asked. I don’t like the twin blades I wish I had bought the single blade mower. I have had mine 4 years no issue. I have a very big yard it mower the whole yard and half on one charge. I bought the chainsaw to get extra batteries though so it is never an issue to get the whole yard mowed even if battery goes dead. Defiantly buy green works just get single blade.

Good Product
I just finished my first Summer with this lawnmower and it handled pretty well. I like how quiet and light it is, I have multiple Greenworks products that work off of the same batteries which is a bonus. One of the only issues that I have with the mower is how small the leaf bag is. I wish there was a bigger one that I could buy separately.

Good mower, very well built
We've had this mower since first marketed through Lowe's USA (2012, I think). We have a modest 0.3 acre mostly dead flat lawn. In order to get it finished properly in the spring when the grass is thick and rapidly growing, we purchased another large battery and charger. With the supplied large plus small battery, we can do the lawn when the growth slows (usually in June), but we need another large batter to finish it until then. It is very lightweight, simple to use, easy to adjust the cutting height. And very well built, even under the plastic housing. Last winter, some field mice took up residence in that chamber, and created a spectacular mouse condominium. They also chose to use the electronics board as their urine latrine--it was covered in a thick accretion of stinky brown dried mouse pee. It was acting up a bit (which is why I took it apart) and I was sure the problem was a shorted board, owing to the discovery of the mouse rest area. Happily, it was an odd other problem--the mice had stashed dried corn (from a bird feeder) everywhere, including up inside the safety switch activated by the handle and cable. Once that was cleared, it worked fine. I hosed off the mouse pee and cleaned it up, and have been happy since.

20-inch Cordless Twin Force (Unicorn) Lawn Mower
I love this lawn mower! It is so light and easy to use! I have 0.47 acres and i go through (1) entire set of batteries, and finish before the next set of batteries die. It's exactly what i want. I highly recommend this to anyone that wants to stay away from gasoline mowers.

Are the mowers self propelled??
A shopper on Apr 18, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No, Batteries are not yet at the state of development where they would last very long doing the mowing and self propelling. On a flat lawn, the mowers are so light that they do not need self propelling.
I have a battery that reads green (fully charged) in the charger. The battery reads blinking red in the mower and mower won't start. Why do two Greenworks products read the battery differently?

I'm trying to remove the blades for sharpening. One came off easily but the other nut appears to be stuck. Nothing will budge it. Any suggestions?

BEST ANSWER: No I do not...Purchased recently and have used twice...
? For you...Has the cutting been uniform...???...
Good luck...
Can the mower be stored vertically?
Curious mower on Jul 13, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I don't see why not. There is no oil in it to leak out. You would have to rig some kind of mount for it as there isn't a hanging hole or anything.
What can I do if it won't start? Batteries are fully charged and the center connecter fully engaged. I push the button and pull the handle - nothing.
Gary on Jun 4, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Just a couple of thoughts in reply to your question. First, you say that the batteries are fully engaged. If you did not hear a positive "click" when you inserted each battery, they are not properly installed. If you can pull either battery out of its slide receptacle without pressing the grey release lever, it's not locked in place. Slide the battery most of the way out of its track, then slide it back toward the connector with enough authority so that you hear the locking mechanism click into place.
To start the mower, push and hold the safety button down while you pull the handle. When the motors start, release the button.
Hope this helps.
I am considering purchasing the 40V G-MAX Twin Force Mower, however I noticed a claim that the Twin Blades may leave portions of uncut grass (between the blades). Is this common to those who have this mower? This would surely change my decision to purchase this product. THX
Ice on May 8, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The mower cuts evenly and does an excellent job mulching cut grass, even when the grass is tall and thick.

Where is the serial number located on the mower?
Larry on Aug 20, 2016
BEST ANSWER: On the hard plastic flap that cover the top opening of the grass catcher, on the upper right hand side when reading the text. You will see "Model Number," and under that "G-MAX," and under that "S/N."
