Better than Dad's Husky
In the 80s my dad bought a husqvarna chainsaw to cut enough firewood to heat his house. I remember it being a very relyable saw that he used for 25 years. It outlasted him as a matter of fact. Now I have a wooded acreage of my own to care for. Right out of the box it was running strong and cuts through everything I need quickly. With all the updated features it is a comfortable to use saw, even better than Dad's.

After a lot of research I chose the 445 and am very happy with it. So far only cut a few trees but really like the feel and power. Start up has been a 5+ we have had some pretty cold mornings and had no problems. I tend to be critical but this saw deserves good grades.

I have not used a chainsaw in quite a few years. I read the reviews on quite a few brands and chose the Husqvarna based on my research. I am very pleased with my purchase of the Husky. This chainsaw is very powerful and easy to use. I would recommend the 445 to anyone.

strong running saw
Starts in two pulls! Cuts like a hot knife through butter...I was really impressed. I'd read the reviews on this model and was really convinced to give it a try. This is my 3rd chain saw and I have to say by far the best yet! I would recommend this product to anyone that wants a reliable chain saw. I am only putting the top grade oil and high octane gas in this machine as per the recommendations. I look forward to many years of good service from this saw.

Perfect Homeowner Saw
Needed a chainsaw to clear fallen 18" oak, a 16" oak, and two 20" pines. Never owned a chainsaw but I've used them enough. Knew the Husky brand from TV ads, and the Still brand from experience. My wife expected to pay only $200 based on some box store saws. Researched for a day and purchased from ChainsawsDirect b/c of their customer service and informed advice. Saw arrived on time and perfectly tuned. We're on 3 acres with about 100 trees, but several manage to come down every year (Nor'easters). We also travel for firewood every year, but now we'll be cutting our own.

This saw is brilliant. Get it in the 16" bar to optimize its 2.8 HP and get the most out of it. Also think the narrow-kerf chain is great. Really well-thought-out saw. Managed to get everything cut and stacked in 12 hours...the large oaks were easily handled and the pines were like bread. Now I want another Husky, for a 30" oak we need to fell. And my wife has already said yes! This saw has me looking for more to cut. Just can't say enough. Quick starts too in 10° temps. Super clean and straight cuts as well. And you'll really appreciate its power-to-weight ratio if you're climbing with it and when limbing. Finally, no need for the pro magnesium case as the plastic here is solid. Best consumer choice I've ever made, and my wife is comfortable using it as well.

The last saw you need to buy!
This is my third Husky. I started with a 136, then moved up to a 350 which had a lot of power but the muffler came off the first time I used it and it would never stay in and the shop at the store where I bought had no more success.

So I switched to a Stihl 290. A great saw when I was able to start it which was hit or miss. Finally, I read reviews here last year and bought a 445 with an 18 inch bar and it works like a dream. Very easy starting with a lot of power and gas efficient.

Beats Stihl Handsdown
I have had Stihl chainsaws, then I purchased my Husqvarna.
I should mail the Stihl to the Company COD!! The performance and ease of use of the Husqvarna can't be topped. Can't say enough about how happy I am with it.
I'm a senior citizen, but I still cut my firewood. Without the Husqvarna, I'd be out in the cold!! It sat for 6 months and started on the 3rd pull.
Sincerely, Phil

This saw starts easy once you get the hang of it. Been cutting wood to heat our home for the last 27 years. Love the low vibration and weight as I am getting older.

Husky 445
I like the size and weight. It's great for throwing in the truck and going camping; it takes up less space than our other large woodcutting saw (372). It's easy to start. It leaks, kind of a lot. Oil is all over our garage, so we place a cardboard slab underneath to soak it up. Otherwise runs great and is a good saw for the size. Would be nice to have a wrap-around bar, but that would potentially compromise the weight; although there are some positions I could've used it.
That's about it!
