Disappointed in quality of blower hubes
Actual blower is excelkent, easy to start and much quieter than s two-stroke. Main problem for me is that the round blower tube blows off every time after a couple of minutes.
I bought a cable clip and ran some black duct tape around it and now it stays on. It just looks ugly and tacky especially since I’ve only used it three times.
Majors could add another clamp like the one where tube attaches to motor unit or redesign the way the two tubes attach

makita leaf blower
I have used this blower for 3 years and it has always started on a single pull, I have junked all my 2 cycle ones because they never start. the Makita is not the most powerful, but it is light weight and easy to use. I use my to blow off my 1/4 mile driveway which gets covered in leaves and grass cuttings..

Makita 4 cycle leaf blower is for you.....
Gave it four stars because I haven't owned it long enough to go higher.. 4 cycle engine is key. No more mixing fuel. Engine is guiet and very easy pull start. Not too heavy and power is good. Feels comfortable when holding.

I am pleased with the Makita Handheld Blower
This blower is everything that I wanted and handles the leaves like a champ. It is powerful enough to get the job done and I like the 4 cycle engine and how quiet it is compared to the 2 cycle blowers that are available. I am looking forward to using this blower for years down the road.

Excellent so far
I purchased this to replace a 2 cycle blower I had for a few years that finally died. I wanted to get something that did not require a gas oil mixture and this was the best option I could find. Although the air velocity numbers are a little lower than some of the competition the volume of air moved is outstanding and that is really what moves the leaves. I will agree with a couple of other reviewers in that the priming bulb is not in the best of locations but still isn't that bad to work with. If I had one complaint it is one that is all too common with hand held leaf blowers and that is that the air intake is on one side of the housing or the other which makes handling a little awkward when the intake side sucks itself to your leg. I used to have a blower many years ago where the intake was on the bottom and that was very easy to use with either hand (lets face it, unless you are doing a very small area you are going to want to switch hands occasionally to reduce fatigue).
I have only used this new machine a couple of times (probably about time to change the oil - per the manual) and so far it is doing everything I need. I also purchased the vacuum kit but have not had the chance to use it yet.
