Overall, a good hammer drill.
This drill seems powerful enough for my purposes. It did struggle a little with using a 5/8" auger bit to bore holes through 6" landscape timbers (the auger bit is old and may be getting dull, though). It did manage to get it done. For most other home projects, it should be great.I needed something more powerful than my 12v. cordless, for more power and torque. This does the job. Makita makes great tools. I know this will last for years.

Nice tool
Reviewing this but have not used it as yet. Bought two different reconditioned Makita hammer drills, one as a gift; both with 15% discount. Great value for a well-made tool. Cannot wait to use this one on my home improvement project. Light, and good feel in the hand.

Awesome drill!
As a contractor, my tools tend to get quite the workout. This is my 2nd drill of this make and model and I'm very pleased. The first had a keyless chuck, that I don't recommend. The drill is awesome, I use it mostly in the hammer mode and I love it!

Awesome Makita Hammer Drill for a great price!
This has been a great hammer drill for use on masonry and concrete. I don't have any complaints. It is a solid drill and even though it was refurbished, it looked brand new.

Simply outstanding
This is a tool I will use infrequently but Makita is always a good buy and this one is a tremendous value. As always the product arrived in a timely manner and is in excellent condition. Looks new. CPO also provided an owners manual. Most retailers don't do this on re-furbished equipment. CPO offers great value for price and have excellent customer service.

Awesome drill
I love the drill, even though it is not cordless. No worry about a power loss because of a low battery. It has power to spare. Great for doing masonry jobs.

New Vs. Reconditioned

What's the difference between New and Factory-Reconditioned?

Factory-Reconditioned products have been returned to the manufacturer and are restored to like-new operating condition; they go through a rigorous testing and inspection process. Plus, they offer a significant savings vs. new.
  • Reconditioned products may have minor cosmetic blemishes or scratches that do not affect item performance.
  • Reconditioned products may not come with all of the consumables the new version comes with (bits, sanding pads/papers, cases, etc.).
  • Both come with a manufacturer warranty and are covered by our Money Back Guarantee; New is 30 days, Reconditioned is 120 days.
