Milwaukee 2745-21 M18 FUEL 30-Degree Cordless Framing Nailer Kit (5 Ah)
Details
The Milwaukee 2745-21 M18 FUEL 30-Degree Framing Nailer sets the bar for cordless framing nailers. With the power to drive up to 3-1/2 in. full round offset head nails into engineered lumber, this framing nail gun outperforms all other cordless framing nailers and many pneumatic guns as well. This cordless nailer features a fully-sealed compressed nitrogen gas mechanism, delivering consistent performance with no maintenance and no gas cartridges required. Users will find many features commonly found on high-end nailers, including tool-free depth adjustment and 2-mode firing (sequential and bump fire) with zero ramp-up time. In bump fire mode, the nailer will fire up to 3 nails per second, helping users keep pace with pneumatic nailers. An available extended magazine (part no. 48-08-2745, sold separately) allows users to hold two strips of nails, doubling capacity before reloading.
Features:
- Effortlessly drives 2 in. - 3-1/2 in. clip head (full round offset) framing nails into engineered lumbers
- Sealed compressed nitrogen gas mechanism requires no oiling or maintenance
- No consumable, smelly gas cartridges required
- Tool-free adjustment allows for changes to drive depth on the fly
- 2 Firing modes: sequential and contact actuation (bump fire), both with no ramp-up time
- Bump fire shoots up to 3 nails per second, delivering pneumatic speed
- Fires up to 750 nails per M18 REDLITHIUM XC 5 Ah battery charge (battery sold separately)
- Onboard magazine holds single strip of 30-Degree full round head nails
- Optional extended capacity magazine doubles capacity to minimize downtime
- Onboard belt hook and fold-out rafter hook

Awesome tool
It is my first framing nailer though I have used both pneumatic and Paslode cordless ones in the past. This felt a little heavier than the Paslode, but it is a beast. Drove a day’s worth of nails on a charge, set 3.25” nails into treated lumber with no trouble, and could pound in nails as fast as I could pull the trigger or bump the tip. No need for gas cartridges, which is nice. Loving it.

Milwaukee Framing Nailer Review
Gun works great but it is a bear working in any vertical position. Just to heavy to do a lot of working up in the air.... Do like the gun.

It won't nail engineered lumber
Overall I like the gun but it will not nail engineered lumber, it leaves the nails sticking out and bent over so you cannot hammer them down either.

bent nails

No nitrogen cartridges used?
BEST ANSWER: There is a nitrogen filled cylinder that will need to be serviced down the road, but there aren't any cartridges to replace.
