personally I use this tool for adjusting strikes on steel frame doors effected by settling. the only thing I would change is adding a variable speed switch. Other then that it works amazingly.

Does a great job in tight spaces
I needed a tool that could reach hinge welds on my car. My pneumatic one was too short plus the air line. I searched for cordless and found this. Definite game changer.

Fourth Die grinder purchased
I purchase equipment for a Municipality and have purchased four of the Milwaukee die grinders. There rugged and have many uses for us. Their good for cutting in tight spaces and deburing metal pipes.

Wouldn’t have been possible without it!
We used this to cut an opening through an I-line panel, a custom made box, and a transfer switch with minimal downtime. This was to make room for a new breaker and the large wires to go along with it. With it’s compact design we were able to get a cutting wheel into a 6” gap and cut from the inside out.
We ground for an extended period of time, and with the 2 5Ah batteries that come in the kit, one was always be charged before the other was out of power.

Powerful but needs improvements
The size is too long and will have trouble in tight areas. The chuck or bit size needs to accommodate more sizes.

Works great I would buy it again.
Use this for finish work in tight areas, The only thing I would change is the changing of bits, it consumes some space to have two wrenches to change your bit. I think many of these die grinders are similar in this way but it would be nice to have a quick tool less change.

Another great tool from Milwaukee
What a handy tool! You put a cutting a wheel on this die grinder, and you can get it into places that a normal grinder just won't go. It makes nice, clean cuts with a cutting blade in it. Just make sure you get blades, accessories, etc. that are rated for 20,000 rpm. and above. Just a very handy tool!

Can I use this tool with a cut-off wheel? If so, can I easily find cutting wheels to fit?
Jerry on Jun 18, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This is a die grinder not a cut off tool in order to use as a cutoff tool you would have to buy Arbor adapter
Is it a variable speed ?

Is there a gard for a cutting wheel ?
A shopper on Sep 8, 2018
BEST ANSWER: No guard, you maybe better off with an angle grinder.
Can this tool also be used to Tap steel with a “Tap”(whichever thread count needed)?
A shopper on Jul 18, 2018
BEST ANSWER: No - it’s rpms are too high. If it’s thinner metal, it would be better to use a Milwaukee drill with a self drilling tap (combo tap).
What RPM does it run at ?
A shopper on Jan 8, 2018
BEST ANSWER: 20,000 - it really zings, and has plenty of power!
