Really great radio! Added bonus of charging my batteries when it’s plugged in. I wish they would do this with the lights they sell as well. Also like the hatch on top to put my phone in when I’m using it. (Charges phone too with USB port in there). Thanks guys! Got this one right for sure.

My 3 year old managed to break a “job site radio”?
I actually love this thing. Sounds great and does everything I need it to do except it won’t turn on anymore. Volume knob is loose and won’t turn the radio on. Basically all I have now is a large 18v charger with a clock. Any advice on how to fix would be appreciated

Great for about 2 years
I used this off an on inside at job sites. Worked pretty well until the radio just quit one day. All my cordless tools are Milwaukee and have had pretty good luck, but this wasn't worth the money.

Good Sound and Good Use!
I purchased this instead of the packout model due to the reviews for both. This one is quite ideal as far as battery charging and for listening to music. I like that it is heavy and solid feeling, The sound quality is spot on and the Bluetooth option works very well thus far. I have only used the Bluetooth with my Phone, so I cannot confirm it will work with all other personal devices. But Samsung Galaxy S10 5G connects no problem. and the AM/FM tuner works very well the signal is great and the radio sound is good.
Buy it and enjoy it. save money and dont get let down by thye packout model :-)

Does this radio run on the charged battery as well?
How much does it weigh?
BEST ANSWER: It is not too light but weighs enough to stay in place with other equipment in operation around the radio.
I set it down and play music from a recorder plunged into the unit.
The UPS port keeps the player charged as the radio plays the music.
The built 18 volt charger makes up for the weight in the unit.
A charged battery will play the radio a long time if you are somewhere there is not power available, I play the radio at the beach off of the battery where there is no power.

Does the radio have receptacles to plug cords into , like the Bosh . If not will this coming soon ?
BEST ANSWER: No Plugs For 120 volt power on the one I have, a little heavy with the included battery charger.
A battery charged in the charging port will power the radio for many hours.
Good radio, the music I listen to is recorded on a portable player. The player is powered by the USB port built into the radio. Much of the time I am in the country with poor radio reception .

Does it come with a battery
BEST ANSWER: @Dennis - For being a "Staff Expert" you really botched your answer. Want to try again there bud? I know it's old but you still have bunk information for any future purchasers.
The correct answer is No, this does not come with a battery. It IS, however, a charger. It will charge your M18 batteries. I know that wasn't the question but our Staff Expert may have given confusing information.

This says the battery is alkaline. That’s the AAA batteries, right? The M-18 that it charges and uses for power when operating cordless is lithium ion, right?
BEST ANSWER: Correct, the AAA batteries will be for the memory system only and the unit will accept all the M18 batteries.

I already have $1000 invested in M-12 products.
Is there an adapter to use m-12 batteries in this?
Also what is the actual weight of the unit.
Is there an adapter to use m-12 batteries in this?

BEST ANSWER: I have this radio and it is good radio.
All of my tools are M-18.
The unit is a little heavy with the charge included.
I play recorded music most of the time with a small music recorder plugged in, with the included USB port the player can be charged at the same time the music is being played.
It would be better if a CD player was included in the radio. I have a few CDs I play in the truck and it would be nice to use the same CDs. I guess I need to get a small CD player that can be powered by the USB port.
I think they have a smaller radio that operates off of M-12, do not know if it includes a charger. Look at see if they still have the other radio. My son has one of the radios in his shop.
I use the small impact driver a lot and keep a battery in the charger so a fresh battery is always available when it is needed.
Sometimes the AM is a little weak when listening to baseball games. A short wire around the antenna helps sometime in getting a good signal in AM mode.

roughly how long will the unit play half sound with a 3.0 mah batttery
BEST ANSWER: Sorry it took so long but I gave the radio to my son for his birthday. Talked to him his weekend and he said his radio has been running about 22 hours on a 3amp hour battery and still has 2 bars left. He loves really loves the radio. Made a bracket to mount it on the lawn mower. If I go to the weld shop it playing endlessly even if I am welding on high frequency and the blue tooth is great. My son told me he would rather the radio than his new M18 3/8th impact. Good luck.
