Freight Orders

Freight deliveries require a delivery time be scheduled and someone must be present at the time of delivery to inspect and sign for the merchandise. A representative from the freight carrier will call the phone number entered at checkout to schedule the delivery.

Liftgate Service

For freight deliveries, you have the option of adding a liftgate to your delivery. A liftgate is the device that lowers a product from the truck to ground level.

CPO recommends adding liftgate service for freight deliveries exceeding 100 lbs if you do not have a loading dock or fork lift at the delivery address. Additional charges may apply. The liftgate option will be presented during the checkout process.

Please note that liftgate service only ensures the product is removed from the truck. We recommend you have the additional help of two to four people to move the product to its desired location because drivers are not required to assist.

Requesting liftgate service after ordering may result in additional charges and delays.

I bought this generator through home depot very easy purchase and delivery. The only suggestion I could make to Generac is that I would make a larger axel and increase the wheel size and replace with pneumatic tires. Other than that I wouldn’t change a thing. you can purchase pneumatic tires through a local shop and change them out! i just think Generac should just have it come standard.

Our family bought 1 of these (as well as a few of other sizes) for back-up power after "Snowtober 2011" left us in the dark for 6 days. Our home has 2 heat pumps w/aux heat, and electric hot water. I wanted a unit that would be able to keep us warm, and this fit the bill. This is a BIG unit, upon delivery, 2 people are needed to assemble. We connected to the whole house through an interlock kit in the main panel and monitored load, we just used it for the first time after Sandy roared through- we ran our critical circuits as well as the hot water heater, TV/DVD, lighting and the stove. We ran each heat pump independantly due to load (10000 watt aux)The unit perforfmed flawlessly except for a resonating heat shield I had to creatively rectify. We put 95 hours on during a 5 day blackout. The sound level is tolerable for overnight use, overall very pleased with the quality, performance, ease of use (love the electric start!) and that they are Made in USA. We are electricians so we did all the work ourselves,

Easy & Reliable Operation
Assembling the product was easy and took about 45 minutes. I found the generator to start easily and it took no time for it to provide power to my home during a power outage. My 15,000 watt generator provides me and my family the safety and comfort we were looking for in the event of an emergency. This is the second Generac I have owned, my first one was a 1987 model 5,000 watt which I sold to purchase my new model. I highly recommend purchasing one.

Excellent, product all the features you need in a portable generator and large enough to run the entire house. And store it away when you don't need it.

LOUD! LOUD! w/ Pulsing issues
I purchased this generator to power my home during power outages. I did extensive research after the hurricane that came through and left me without power for a week. Based on my personal experience, and my power needs, this brand and model seemed the best choice. I had an electrical contractor install 50 amp twist-lock connector on outside of my home that connect to my breaker panel.
First time I started the generator, aside from being really, really loud, there were no issues I could detect. I had just finished installing the wheel kit and adding the engine oil and everything seemed ok.
I started the generator a second time approxiately 3 months later. It was to make sure that the battery was ok. I also decide to put a small load on it to see what woould happen. I used an electric leaf blower as the load. At this time I discovered that the generator was 'pulsing' or 'surging' with this small 120 volt 5 amp leaf blower. The generator was still brand new in my opinion and should not have this issue. The other thing I noticed was that it melted my 100 foot outdoor extension cord. I called the phone number and spoke to someone that barely understood me and I barely understood them.
I was told, (I think), to have some one look at the generator and if a problem was found, it would be covered under warranty. I contacted a local small engine shop that informed me that it was probably the gas. In my opinion, it was not the gas since it is the same gas I use for my other lawn equipment. The gas that was in it was barely a month old since I ran out the gas in my 'first start up'. Three months and 300 hundred dollars later the shop informs me that they found bad gas (still fighting the shop on this) and a bad regulator. The regulator was replaced under warranty, but labor was not included.
I get the genrator home just in time before a severe storm knocks out my power for 4 days. During this time I ran one 2-ton AC unit (only when home), 1 well pump, 1 refridgerator, 1 microwave, 1 ceiling fan and electrical outlets in one downstairs room. During this time, the genrator continues to run rough and pulse under load. (shop did not correct issue). At this point, I would really like to have my money back from the shop(working on it) and CPO so that I can purchase a better generator, but thats not possible now due to the time that has past. Save your money! Get something else!!!
doesn't stop
ran for 2 weeks nonstop without an issue. Wasn't started after that for over 3 months, needed to run a pump in the middle of nowhere and it started right up.. love this generator..

New Vs. Reconditioned

What's the difference between New and Factory-Reconditioned?

Factory-Reconditioned products have been returned to the manufacturer and are restored to like-new operating condition; they go through a rigorous testing and inspection process. Plus, they offer a significant savings vs. new.
  • Reconditioned products may have minor cosmetic blemishes or scratches that do not affect item performance.
  • Reconditioned products may not come with all of the consumables the new version comes with (bits, sanding pads/papers, cases, etc.).
  • Both come with a manufacturer warranty and are covered by our Money Back Guarantee; New is 30 days, Reconditioned is 60 days.
