a dream comes true - skilsaw stay true - amazing!!
After seeing this miter saw at two convention over the past year I was really excited about the official release and to get my hands on it. Now I own this miter saw for a few month and it's a dream come true for the job site and work shop. It's definitely an eye catcher where ever I went.

Dead on accurate right out of the box. No fine tuning necessary! And it continued like that.

It was genius to throw a worm drive motor into a miter saw. We all know that Skilsaw is famous for their worm drive saws; how powerful there are and their longevity. This miter saw is for sure packed with some serious power and I have no doubt that it will last a long time as well.

The miter saw comes with some great features, like a LED shadow line (accurate) -- bevel stop blocks (on each side) it really comes in handy. It's always dead on and super quick when switching between cuts! -- dual bevel is definitely a must have feature for a miter saw -- in my opinion super lightweight for a miter saw (only 51 lbs) -- dust collection is superb -- electric motor brake -- and then of course the 15 Amp dual-field motor which provides enough power to chew thru dry or wet lumber without slowing down.

Now I am looking forward to a miter saw stand on wheels for this saw. I highly recommend to anyone who is in the market for a miter saw or who wants to upgrade their miter saw.

Another incredible tool for your arsenal!
First off I have to say wow! As with all our other skilsaw equipment, the machine’s power is off the chart. I had a chance to compare this saw to a couple others since we also have a ridgid and dewalt. All of them come with a decent blade but we always switch them out for one of our liking. Compared to the dewalt and ridgid this skilsaw has more power, more precision, more features, and just all around better saw. I had to do some fine tuning right out of the package but my adjustments were less than a degree and less than a 1/16 for either. After making about 50-60 cuts through various sizes of lumber ranging from 2”- 6” thickness I checked all my measurements and everything was still dialed in. Using the slide I cut a piece that was 2” thick by a little over 14”(specs saw up to 14” but my cut was about 14 1/4”). I measured square along the length of the cut after and everything was perfect which shows the slide stays square. I found using the shadow light was helpful as well. Having the dual bevel is definitely key when working with a miter saw and with the bevel stops it was super fast to set each angle. Overall this saw is great and I’m very happy with its performance

Lightweight, Awesome Features, Great for Framing!
I bring this Miter Saw out on our framing projects. It'll cut through 4x6 for interior headers like a hot knife in butter, I've never felt a Miter Saw with as much power. For being a 12", it's light enough to move around without breaking your back, which is nice when we're packing this up stairs. The double bevel has stops for 22.5*, 45*, etc for easy and accurate adjustments on the fly.

The shadow line works great indoors, but in the hot sun in California, it's not visible during the day. One thing I would love to see added to these saws, is numbering from 2"-14" +/- along the fence for easy and quick block cutting!

Overall, awesome Miter Saw! The power it packs is unbelievable, it's lightweight, plenty of great features to speed up the workflow too.

Smooth, accurate, powerful, beautiful and solid. Everything you want in a good tool this Skilsaw 12" work drive dual bevel slider miter saw have it.

So much good features on this saw, Shadow line, extendable feet, the 15 amp dual field motor but more importantly, the worm drive gearing. So much power and so much smoothness.

The build quality is on point too, all magnesium housing that make this saw solid and lightweight. Clearly the best in class saw on the market to day.

Good lord, this thing has power! I love this saw. Perfect for trim and moulding. Accurate as can be, too, which takes the guess work out of it. This is well worth every cent. My only complaint is that it doesn't come with a stand.

what kind of bearings are used for the slides? roller or sleeve?
john k on Jul 9, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The bearings used in the slide or tubes of the miter saw are called “linear ball bearings.”

The bearings are pressed into the support housing and the slides or tubes are assembled into the bearing.
