Very nice for lightweight snow blower
I just used my Snow Joe 18" for the first time today. I am very pleased with the way it handled and the light weight of it.
I just need to adjust to using a power cord and find the best way to blow out my driveway.

I was really surprised how the Snow Joe handled heavy snow. Snow Joe did the job and some. I was really happy not to have the dreaded gas smell from my old gas snow blower. Loved the light!!! For the price I paid it was a great steal. I am a mailman. When my coworkers seen the Snow Joe sitting on my work case, they wanted to know how it performed. I told them it was great.. Now we have 4 and counting Snow Joe owners in the office!!!!! Thank You Snow Joe you are the best!!!!!

Solid spot in the snow arsenal
I live in a Minnesota city, and bought this snow blower to replace a gas single stage blower. The blower does a good job on clearing a 2-car wide driveway and the sidewalks. It handled a 4 inch early season wet snow very well; so I think it will handle up to 8 inches of the fluffy stuff we get when it really gets cold.

Being electric it is a snap to just plug it in and go after a snow. I was worried that the cord would be a pain getting in the way. But, it was a pretty easy learning curve to figure out the best pattern to keep it out of the way.

Do I grab this blower for every snow? Nope. It's still easier to grab a push-broom for a dusting, and a pusher shovel for an inch or two. And when the city plows dump a pile in the end of the driveway (like that 4 inch snow I don't even try to make this little guy hack through it. I get the 2-stage out and let it chew through.

The only "feature" that is confusing to me is the light on the unit. It's a nice touch and has its own on/off switch. But, why is the light wired so that after you turn the switch on you still have to engage the auger clutch to actually turn the light on? It's a corded electric unit. There is no battery to run down if the light is left on. Just turn the light on when I flip the switch on. Luckily for me, with the yard lights and street lights, I'm never blowing snow in pitch darkness, so its not a real problem... just an oddity.

First time that I'm using an electric snow blower. Realy like the product and how it performs in last 6in snow fall. The only thing I don't like is the chute crank is too low. I decided to fix it (very easy 2ft high extension with 3ft 3/8 toilet auger + hose + velco strap. See enclosed picture. Have fun!
