First Time Owner/User
Purchased this the day before large snow fall was predicted in VA. Never owned a blower before, my wife prompted me to purchase she said I did not need to be shoveling. After the first use in a 21 inch snow I was more than satisfied with the performace of the Squall 2100. Started up with ease, performance in snow was awesome for such a light weight, easy to store machiine. I have a 4 car driveway, sidewalks and patio which I cleaned twice during the storm, only took an hour each time. Easy to use, highly recommended, strong engine, I expect many years service out of this blower

Very happy with snow blower this past winter. Had no troubles with all the snow we had here in the Northeast. No troubles with drifted snow either.

Let's Go Skiing!
I have been shoveling snow in Montana for 35 years. I viewed this as a time to unwined and get a little conditioning in during the winter. Well my wife said we get plenty of that skiing. She is right! So I went out and purchased the Squall 2100 and put it to work immediately. We had about 6"-8" of new snow again today and it worked great!! One hour and I was done. This use to be a two and a half hour job. Thanks for talking me into it honey. Lets go skiing!

Great Valu
I have had the opportunity to use my new blower 3 times now and it is so easy to start I have not had to use the electric start yet and one morning there was a minus 28 degree wind chill! After getting used to running it, I actually enjoyed doing the drive and sidewalks. I highly recommend the 21 inch electric start model to anyone who is contemplating buying a new snow blower.

Squall does it ALL
Thinking we were only getting about 8 inches I purchased the Squall 2100. We got about 2 feet. Besides having to muscle the machine through the snow it was excellent in almost 3 times the depth it is recommended for. I have a 60 ft driveway and 90 foot of sidewalk. The Squall did the job. The auger shows little sign of wear, it has started very easily with the electrical start and within 3 pulls of the cord manually. I have done my property, a neighbors, and my mothers, all several times. Because the snow is 20+ inches I have had to make several passes, but it does the job. I Gave it 4 stars for performance only because it does clog in wet/slushy snow - but easy to clear! Very glad I made this purchase and since some of the driveway and walkway is not even I dont think a 2 stage auger would hold up to the beating. Second to my Dodge RAM this is the best snow (man's) TOY I have.

Don't ever waste money on those crummy 'shear-pin' blowers... this clever snow thrower with 'tire-tread' sweepers tosses snow 30' away... and is NEVER overwhelmed!

6" of snow was child's play! When I first pulled the starter cord, it started with ease. I was astounded by the amount of work this single stage could do and it shorted the amount of time I needed to remove the snow from sidewalks and driveway.

Unit handled 6+ inches of snow with no difficulty. A little hard to move in areas where the driveway was icy and/or the snow very dense from the road plows. In general I am very happy with it. Starts easily both with the electric and manual start options.

Half of one season in Denver is all it could take
I purchased this product and used it half of one season in Denver. That was all it could take without problems. Now, in it's second season it after just two small storms, it does not run properly and will need to be repaired. This is after only about 6 or 7 total days of use on our very small driveway.

When the engine runs correctly, it works well and is easy to use. However, I would expect to get more than seven days use, maybe 2 hours of total run time, before having problems.

This is my second Troy-Bilt Snow Blower. Purchased first one, Power Shift Two-Stage 828 in 1990 and still running. Wanted something lighter so my wife could use it. Best features we like is the ease of use and electric starting. Used it three times this year and it GOT'ER DONE like a champ. Not as durabile as two-stage 828 but performence is good and lighter in handling! Price is somewhat higher then other like models I compared, but I am sold on Troy-Bilt products. I have had 4 Troy-Bilt hand mowers over the last 40 years.
