Not too hot!
I used it once and it failed miserably. Chain cannot be repositioned.

User friendly attachment!
I got this pole saw to attach to my TroyBilt gas trimmer. The price was higher than that of some of the cheap electric pole saws but this seems very well made and it's easy to connect and disconnect from the trimmer so I see it as a good value overall. Gives me something else to use my trimmer for in the fall when not using it for the lawn. It is a little front-heavy but that helps add pressure to the saw end when cutting. When hung vertically in the shed, much of the chain oil will leak out but I remember to keep some on hand. Easily goes through 3 or 4 inch branches on hardwood. It will cut!

Works great!
I work for our school as grounds maintenance and bus mechanic/driver/transportation supervisor. We bought this attachment hoping it would do the job without spending hundreds of dollars for a separate gas powered pole saw, it works great, no problems yet in two years of frequent use. Does what we want it to do. Only vise is that the unit as a whole gets a little heavy. I would recommend this product for anyone unless you are doing trimming as a profession!

Great addition to my add-on tools
I have used this pole saw for a number of years now and it works like a champ. I have handled trees from trimming the tops to cutting out roots of removed trees. The tool is relentless in its ability to save me a great deal of work. And the fact that I just insert it into my one engine, that powers all my various tools, is so smart. I have a straight gas unit driving my tools and I really enjoy all my Troy-Bilt tools.

Works well, however the gears continue to wear out faster than the rest of the saw, I've purchased several because I can reach up and prune the trees in my yard. Please do something with the gears, aluminum does not get it, for the price you should use steel!
