The Worx WG304.1 15 Amp 18 in. Electric Chainsaw is powerful to complete all your toughest outdoor cutting applications with a motor that produces 4.0 peak horsepower. This saw features a tool-free chain replacement and auto-tensioning system that eliminates the headaches faced with most other Chainsaws. The auto-tension system includes a single, oversized knob that secures the bar and chain, and automatically maintains proper tension during operation. Additionally, all-metal dogs at the base of the bar help add stability during cutting, while an easy-to-lubricate sprocket on the bar nose helps preserve the life of the tool. The Worx Electric Chainsaw includes a built-in safety chain brake that stops the chain in seconds when improper contact is made, protecting you in the event of kickback. Lastly, a rubber over-molded rear handle and ergonomic full-wrap front handle provide optimum control and comfort.
Features:
  • Patented tool-free automatic tensioning system prevents over-tightening
  • Built-in chain brake stops the chain in seconds when improper contact is made for added safety

Bought this recently as a backup for my gas-powered chainsaw which is frequently in the shop. Quite happy with it.

Awesome tool
I never thought much about an electric chain saw, but how wrong I was. This Worx saw is as good as any 18" gas chainsaw I have owned. I had storm tree damage with some pretty large heavy limbs, and this saw cut through them like butter. The cleanup was fast, easy, and didn't tax my old weak arms like a gas saw has in the past. I have 3 Worx power tools so far, and as I have new needs, there will definitely be more.

Very powerful and quiet for the price point!
I purchased the Worxx 18" chainsaw because it was a 15 amp tool, to enable my cutting of guided boards and slices from mid-sized logs. Its performace and features are not much short of amazing. One minor criticism is that the narrow (anti-kickback bar's one drawback is that it is deflected by wood grain more easily than firmer, larger bars, and its tip tends to bend and wander on full-bar cuts, even when guided. The chain is very satisfactory; the chain tightening system is superb, and the little saw is quite powerful in performing what is demanded of it! Worth the money? Absolutely!

I bought this a month ago. I like it around the farm for cutting small trees and wife can use it too. Easy to handle just need an extension card long enough. We go out in the Pasture with generator in back of pickup and she drives and I cut trees. Works out good. Wished it was a little more powerful. But it does what I need it too.

I like the consistency in cuts and the auto oil system. Not fond of how much oil leaks out of it while it sits.

Unbelievable
I have two gas chainsaws. The last gas one I bought I used once. Bought it to replace the other chainsaw that would not start. There are ways to clean out a gas chain saw to get it started and I did that. The newest saw I had was is a homelite. Got it running but after about 4 cuts it stalled and never started again. I was waiting to get a battery operated Milwaukee which actually comes onto the market this month. But.... it is $400. Based on the adverts, the Milwaukee is at par with many of the gas models. I could not wait plus did not want to pay $400. I found this Worx model. Got it in two days and it was very affordable. This electric is absolutely fabulous. I put the saw through 10 times in total what I did with the two gas powered saws. It does not stop. It does go through chain oil pretty quickly but I am totally fine with that. But a gallon of chain oil instead of those smaller bottles at Home Depot. A few times I may have moved the saw the wrong way a bit and there was some binding which cause the chain to pop off but not break. The blade is still sharp and I tell you I went through a lot of downed trees. One tree was maybe 10 inches in diameter but very hard wood. Another tree was maybe 18 inches round and the saw tore it up almost like butter. It was so worth the expense for what I get out of such a saw.

I have 4 mature oak trees I need to keep trimmed. Time for a chainsaw. I didn't want to go with gas, just for safety reasons alone (kick back, etc. This chainsaw is incredibly powerful, yet felt very safe to use. Felt very secure to control. Made short work of the project in no time.
