Great stand, terrible buying experience
This is a very well made saw stand. It is easy to collapse and set up. If you load your truck or trailer with a ramp this thing makes set up and break down extremely fast. It would be a bit heavy to lift this thing, with a saw on it, into the bed of a pickup, not impossible, just a chore. I like that the material supports have rollers on them. The fact that the saw can be stored up right means that you can actually keep the saw on the stand and still use your shop/garage for something else. Now for the downside, this was my first bad experience purchasing from CPO. The stand ships from a Dewalt warehouse, not directly from CPO. This is apparently an additional complexity that neither company is capable of managing. Instead of shipping in the promised 2 to 3 business days, the stand did not ship for almost a month. Further, I tried to cancel the order 6 or 7 times, so I could go get a stand to use immediately, only to be told that the stand was going to be shipped that day, and therefore could not be canceled. When one considers that CPO lists this saw stand for $10.00 more than any other retailer and than offers a $20.00 discount, this buying process was definitely not worth the aggravation. I got this stand for $189.00 after a month of infuriating phone and email exchanges with CPO and Dewalt. I could have just gone to Home Depot and bought it off the shelf for $199.00 (everyday price, in stock item). Considering that the duct tape and bailing wiring that was holding my old stand together had to be checked and rewrapped everyday, the $10.00 savings was totally not worth it.

I liked it so much I bought a second one
It is easy to set up, and I love that it stores standing upright. I first got one for work, and liked it so much I got one for home too. My home saw is a 12" sliding compound miter saw from the same manufacturer and this stand holds it very securely. I actually use the saw more often because it is not so awkward to get the saw out and put it away.

Great piece of equipment
Wish I would have purchased this years ago. While installing flooring, it greatly reduces the need to bend down when miter saw used to be on the ground. Saw is held securely in place and adjustable arms are a huge help for long runs of wood. I would definitely recommend this stand.

Best price for the best miter saw stand
This stand is top notch. This is the fourth miter saw stand that I've owned. The Dewalt outperforms all the others hands down. I use it for interior trim carpentry and for exterior siding. The sauce sets up way faster than anyone I have used in the past. It has heavy duty rollers and extension stands that can hold 2x material without a problem. The stand is a little bit heavy but that's the price you pay for quality construction.

Amazing
The only drawback to this stand is that I searched high and low for a lower or sale price but it just does not exist. My guess is that the stand is so good Noone needs to lower their price.

Now that I have it assembled I can understand why. I have used a simular stand on my table saw and love it but the dewalt stand made especially for miter saws is even better.

I was impressed with the quality as soon as I open the box. Assembly took about an hour and no guess work.

While quaility was impressive I still could not guess at the operation until the last step when you cut the tie downs and let the stand open. This is the amazing factor. It opened smoothly and the operation was quite amazing.

Even without a saw mounted it worked well but the final impression was when you mount a relatively awkward and heavy miter saw.

Opening and closing the stand with the saw mounted is very smooth and easy. Lifting up the end and rolling the saw away in the closed position is where it shines. With the saw the whole assembly is heavy but still very manageable.

The wood guide rollers are also excellent. Nothing about this stand could be improved in my mind. It is worth every penny even if no deals are out there.

But CPO was the best overall because of free shipping and no tax collected for my state.

Bottom line. This is a great stand and still amazing to me each time I use it. Thank you Dewalt!

Will this stand fit the Dewalt DWS780 12" Double Bevel Sliding Compound Miter Saw? Thank you,
jim on Feb 26, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Well I have the 718 which I understand is the older model of yours and it works great I love the stand. Even an old blond like me can pick it up with one hand and wheel it out of the garage to make my cuts and not worry about dust collection. I never put it up because I am always using it for something. I am even considering buy one for my joiner planer.

With saw mounted on stand and folded up can it be pulled up stairs ?
( FITH ) on Sep 29, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Yes,it does have that capability.
will this stand fit a dw716 saw?
DON F on Dec 3, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I'm not positive, but I did fit a 12" double-bevel Milwaukee saw to it. It should work with your DeWalt dw716 as the universal slides allow for both 'X' & 'Y' adjustment and the base on the DeWalt is almost identical to the Milwaukee saw. It is an excellent quality stand and very sturdy. Good Luck!
Can you mount the dw745 table saw on this stand?
Dale B on Nov 12, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Probably yes, it has 2 sliding bars and each of them has 2 sliding mounts, if they don't directly fit you could mount a piece of plywood or such as a sub base. Dewalt makes a table saw stand DW7450 that is lighter and more inexpensive than this unit which is really designed as a large miter saw stand.
I want to mount a craftman radial arm saw on this stand?
chuck on Jan 26, 2015
BEST ANSWER: This stand is made for mounting the DeWalt miter saws. Mounting a radial arm saw is not recommended for this unit.
