Greatest Blower
I purchased this just for the blower as I needed the strongest I could find. I had a B&D Leaf Hog that was 235mph and it lasted nearly 20 years. This one is 250mph and does a fantastic job! I don't need the vacuum so no comment there. This blows the massive piles of leaves and debris from the driveway and porches clean with little effort.

Idea good, but more research should have been done
I bought this to use as a vacuum and thought the backpack would be more comfortable than it is. I'm left handed and the bag should have been designed to either flip or switch ends with sippers. I've used the Black and Decker vacuums for years and will always buy the unit with the metal impeller as it lasts longer. None should be sold without the metal impeller. I could not use this item and returned it back to Menards. Your engineers should give more thought to their new products before selling them to the public.

It does its job well
I bought this because I have a much larger yard than I'm used to. It does its job well so far. The only precautions I would suggest are making sure there are no large twigs around when using the mulching setting.

If there are any spots of debris that are sort of damp the tube will clog and you may have to stop and pull the clog manually. In the dryer spots of the yard I didn't have any issues with that and it made my clipping and leaf cleanup go a lot more quickly and smoothly then it would have otherwise. Well I did have to make stops to empty the bag it wasn't as cumbersome as I assumed it was going to be.

So far, pretty good
I purchased this from Lowes to replace my Torro 3in1 that lasted for well over several years. I could not find an associate at Lowes to answer my questions, so I made a choice based on what was available on the shelf. I had to use the B&D chat line to figure out how to get the fan cover off so I could use it as a vacuum. 3rd chat assoc was the charm that gave specific instructions to insert the screwdriver into the slot and push until it releases. The manual does not tell you this. I was afraid the screwdriver would go right thru the plastic. I tried it out in my landscaping and I am satisified so far that this will do the job. The back pack bag is very akward for me since I am only 5'3" and left handed. I ended up just leaving it on the ground and doing small area at a time. Once I rolled up the bag end 3 times it did not come undone and it mulched up small enough that I only filled the bag half way.

Needs a zipper
This works great except for the bag collection. The vacuum is too strong, even on the low setting, and the leaves blow out. I needed to put clamps on the opening to keep it shut. A zipper, instead of the metal/plastic pieces that are supposed to keep it shut, would work better.

I have a hard time to get the tube off the motor housing. Hv to use straight screwdriver. Should be like a half turn on off. Very hard to get off. Also in instruction book you need to tell people to roll the bag three times to work properly. Wish blade was metal. Better than Toro

Poorly conceived bag cathcer
Relying on the B&D reputation purchased this however the bag doesn't stay closed and I had mulched leaves flying all over the place. Tried binder clips but to no avail. Wished I had read the review that cited this issue before purchasing. Will be returning it.

Does a Great job
I have used this blower a couple of times and so far it works great. I have read in the reviews that there are complains about the bag opening. It could be that the closing part of the bag is not rolled up before clipping it. I had no trouble with the bag!
