Bought this to replace old Toro that had trimmed its last lawn.

Very easy to use. light (I'm 77 yrs old) yet powerful enough to my lawn.

Light weight, perfect for women
This is perfect for a small yard. It's so light. Yes I said perfect for women but I also have hip issues and can't hold something heavy. It was a great price I bought it last season and still works great. Bought the cordless leaf blower this year hope that works just as well

Great unit
I have an undeveloped property and on a limited budget so Bought it on sale. This unit has some draw backs in as the battery charger is a slow charge other than that it excels in performance for what it is it has enough battery time to tire an old person out!!
I hope the 20v battery lasts for a while because I paid the price of a new battery for the whole unit on sale.

Great for what it is
This is a great, light weight trimmer and does exactly what it is meant to do. I've read lots of 1 star reviews complaining about the battery lasting only 15-20 Minutes. I was pleasantly surprised that it lasted that long! Just think of running any of your power tools for 15 to 20 minutes couldn't. This 20V lithium battery has as much power as my old B@D, last a little longer and it is lighter. This trimmer is perfect for the person who mows their lawn once a week and then trims it. If you are a person who doesn't trim but a couple of times a year and the grass is getting pretty gnarly then this is not for you, you need a gas powered hog. Know what you are buying, set your expectation to a reasonable level and you will be very happy with this trimmer.

Nice Tool
I bought this item yesterday and used it today and I loved it. I have an average size yard and it is perfect for what I need. Not designed for heavy cutting but for the average home owner it is more than enough. Very lightweight, easy to use. Love the fact no mixing gas and oil or having cords stretched across the yard. Just grab it and go. Highly recommend this product for anyone who has just an average size yard

A piece of c**p
I have purchased the parts needed. Several times. I'm going to put tape over the lever that feeds the line. I purchased 5 levers one worked. When it ran out of feed and I put another spool in, that was it. They worked for about 5 minutes, then it released ALL the line. Used 3 spools before I looked at the video on how to make it a manual feed. Glad some of you liked it but if you're on a fixed income, I wouldn't suggest you buy this one. This seems to be a problem with alot of them.

Machine is great - batteries terrible
I bought this last year to help with volunteer work at local parks, nature preserves, etc. I am a 70 year old male, short and 145 pounds, so wanted something light.

The machine is great. Goes through vegetation like a dream.

But the batteries -- and the charging system -- are HORRIBLE!

I now have 5 batteries - two of 2.0Ah and 3 of 1.5Ah. They each last only a short while and it takes FOREVER to charge them - basically all afternoon and evening or overnight.

If I was just doing around my house, 2-3 batteries would suffice. But for anything more, the battery system is pure junk.

(I learned from a friend that his string trimmer (made by a different firm) has batteries that recharge in half an hour. What's going on, B&D? And, why have such small capacity batteries?)

Total Disappointment
My old Black & Decker (18yrs) was not holding a charge & I saw this one on sale at Lowe's so I bought it & sorry I did. No power at all when edging, won't even cut through semi-thick grass, line ran out twice while I was edging so had to stop & fix. It does not hold a candle to my late one.
