Very good saw, but not perfect
I did not have the money to purchase a new saw so a reconditioned one fit my budget. When I received my first saw the box was damaged an partially open. The content contained so packaging material. The saw blade guard was bent so much that it would not allow the blade to turn. I tied bending it back, but it broke the flange on the base of the motor. Of course I sent it back. The replacement arrived and all is good now. I am worried that this saw might not be as sturdy as the $40 Ryobi it is replacing.

Not For Me
Gaurd would catch and any non-square cut would get pushed off the line when hand to force the guard up (spring was very strong and was a spot that would bind a bit about 2-3 inches into a cut), either that or manually raise the guard which is not always possible when cutting on odd angles esp due to the weight and leverage disadvantages of the saw. lastly prepare for a bath in sawdust on EVERY cut no matter where you stand, not a big deal unless its 95 deg out and you're covered in sweat, and now have saw dust plastered to you all day. which this saw is meant to be used in such conditions regularly. It is got tons of torque and will try to rip your arm off which normally is good but with the position of the handle you have to be very careful as you have a big leverage disadvantage. I am not sure how many of my dislikes are applicable to all worm drive type says (even though this is a hypoid drive, it's still not a direct drive). I returned it and CPO was great about taking the return. ended up getting a Bosch cs10 though have not used it yet to review.
