Perfect for around the house and yard.
Have not had the saw long but have used it several times cutting limbs and pvc pipe. It’s lightweight and seems to work well. I already had the batteries and wanted to stick to the brand. I have an assortment of poster cable tools and I prefer them over Dewalt. I am not a professional but for around the house, PC tools do the trick for me.

Great tool
I love this tool. I love all my Porter Cable tools. It looks brand new. I am a contractor/remodeler. I've had is just a few weeks but I have put it to work and it has performed perfectly... Porter Cable tools are tough.

Nice saw!
The saw looks and works as new. It is slightly smaller than a regular corded saw, but has plenty of power and the trigger is smooth so it is easy to control.

GREAT WITH TWO BATTERIES OF LONG LIFE BATTERY
I purchased this in order to cut a body panel from a junked car. The panel is something my grandson need to repair his car. I will be honest in that I thought a tool this light weight and easy to use just would not have enough power to cut through car panels. BOY WAS I WRONG! I put a fresh battery in the unit and a new 9" metal cutting blade and hoped for the best. It cut through that car body like a hot knife through butter. I mean I had to slow it down in order to keep the cut on the like I had drawn on the panel. This thing just wanted to take off and cut away. The only negative was that once the blade got dull and I had been cutting for about 1/2 hour, I needed to change blade and battery in order to finish the job. If CPO puts the extended life batteries on sale, I will be all over them. GREAT SAW NO QUESTION!

I have Porter Cable cordless tools. Will my 18V batteries work on the Porter Cable reciprocating saw? It says 20V in the description.

BEST ANSWER: No,the two different voltages are not compatible.
What kind of battery does it use?
EbbanFlowKev on Sep 28, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The pcbrpcc670br uses a 20 volt slide lithium Ion battery.
Is it better to use a 4Ah battery with this tool or will a 1.5Ah be better, i.e. last long enough to get the job done. I do not want to get up on a ladder trimming branches and have the battery die.
George on May 10, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The 4 amp hour battery has longer run time per charge than the 1.5 amp hour battery.
