Great little tool
Used the grinder to remove gasket off the front of a motor. Got warm pretty quick. Overall worked well. Very pleased.

This is a great tool (I have the straight version. 1/4" colette is fine, you can get a 3/8 adapter (which I did). The variable speed is nice.

I bought this to replace my air powered die grinder. The freedom of movement with no air hose and the quiet make this tool a winner for me.

I wish I would have bought this earlier.
This die grinder is more powerful than any pneumatic grinder that I've ever used and there is no hose. It's compact and light. The max RPM settings make things a lot easier too. It does run through batteries pretty quickly if you are applying a lot of force on your substrate, but if you apply light force so that you maintain high RPM and allow the grinder / abrasive to do the work, the batteries last a lot longer.

The right tool for the job
Fast, quiet (compared to air tool, but a bit girthy, and somewhat of a battery hog.

Wow, This is Great!!
Honestly, those were my first thoughts when I pulled the trigger on this tool. I love that it is so easy to handle and the multiple speed function. It feels way different than an air tool, almost like it has a positive drive mechanism, not simply running on momentum. I tried the M18 version, but it was unmanageable and featured only one speed. This tool is perfect, compact, powerful, and cordless/hoseless. Well done, MT!

Impressive tool of the future
This is an OUTSTANDING tool, soon rendering their 'tethered', archaic, pneumatic predecessors obsolete. The power is surprising. It is lighter & more maneuverable than pneumatic ones. It will, however quickly exhaust small-capacity batteries when used continuously, and can overheat the 3 Ah batteries which then need to rest, before they are exhausted. My solution (which ONLY may be necessary for constant, all-day use) is a rotation of three 2 Ah batteries. For intermittent use, advanced 'battery-management' is not necessary. If you like to use Die Grinders, you will enjoy this tool greatly. Its 4 speed settings at first seemed unecessary, as it has a variable-speed lever-switch. In time, I have learned to appreciate the luxury of its variable speed settings and use the reduced settings often.
I very conveniently ground every weld on eight of these aluminium fabrications with this tool.

Is it good and powerful enough for 3in grinding and cut off?
Josh M on Dec 17, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes it is! I use 3"x3/32" fiber cutting disks at work. I do suggest using the 24,500 rpm setting and letting it spin up before trying to cut. Safety feature built in will not let it spin if it touching something first.
Is there a rpm range for this tool?
Chip. on Oct 30, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes, four different settings. 10,000 15,000 20,000 and 24,500.
When will this be available?
