Great Tool, But I Got a Dud
I purchased this tool for use with a Bosch Demolition Hammer, and used it to cut through & loosen compacted stone and clay under an asphalt parking lot. The overall design of the spade is very good, and it made quick work of removing the material (faster and less work than using a digging bar).
Unfortunately, I got a defective bit (the slot on the bit was not machined correctly), so the tool wouldn't lock in place. This resulted in the tool pulling out of the hammer when trying to remove it from the soil. I plan on getting a replacement, because the tool is great.
One improvement for this particular tool would be to have a longer shank. Since this tool is made to cut through "soft" material (soils), it can quickly bury itself down to the drill. A longer shank would make this less of a problem.

Butter knife for clay
Bought this to use with Bosch DH1020VC SDS-max Inline Demolition Hammer. I have about 25 hrs use on it.
My only advise is to make sure the hammer is set to the slowest speed. Used it the first time with my brand new demo hammer. The speed was set on high. It all happened so fast, and into the clay it went. I ended up having to dig the hammer and clay spade out with a Mattock pick

Makes quick work of concrete
Great tool for removing cemented fence posts and small concrete slabs. Paired with my Bosch 11264EVS really works well. Just ordered another but 18" this time.

This spade would be just the tool
Unfortunatly this tool was for the "max" demo tool. I misread the product type. As soon as I get a new max hammer, I will re-purchase this shovel. It's just what I need for the soil in my yard

Very happy with spade
We purchased this spade to use with a Bosch combination hammer, to dig landscaping holes in our very hard, compacted clay soil. Works great!

Is this blade ok to remove tile and thin set?
BEST ANSWER: This is designed to be a shovel. The edges are rounded so you could not keep the full width of the tool on a flat floor.
