Freight Orders

Freight deliveries require a delivery time be scheduled and someone must be present at the time of delivery to inspect and sign for the merchandise. A representative from the freight carrier will call the phone number entered at checkout to schedule the delivery.

Liftgate Service

For freight deliveries, you have the option of adding a liftgate to your delivery. A liftgate is the device that lowers a product from the truck to ground level.

CPO recommends adding liftgate service for freight deliveries exceeding 100 lbs if you do not have a loading dock or fork lift at the delivery address. Additional charges may apply. The liftgate option will be presented during the checkout process.

Please note that liftgate service only ensures the product is removed from the truck. We recommend you have the additional help of two to four people to move the product to its desired location because drivers are not required to assist.

Requesting liftgate service after ordering may result in additional charges and delays.

Product Overview

Smart Fuel. Smart Start. Smart Design.
Until now, the only options available in a portable propane generator required the propane tank to be separately carried and separated from the generator itself. Generac's LP3250 incorporates a tank holder into the frame itself, so the propane tank sits secure in the chassis and out of the way, eliminating the hassle of a stand-alone tank and the inconvenient fuel line that goes along with it.
The LP3250 is the ideal portable propane generator for use with smaller requirements, and is perfect for using outdoors in camping sites, small jobsites, or around the home projects and emergency backup.
  • Precision balanced design for increased stability and effortless mobility
  • Low oil shutdown cuts the power to the engine when low on oil to help protect critical engine parts
  • Conveniently located fuel line quickly connects to standard liquid propane tanks
  • Hardened 1-1/4 in. steel tube cradle provides enhanced durability and strength
  • Circuit breakers help protect from unit overloads
  • Control panel mounted Hour Meter automatically tracks maintenance intervals
  • Wide Never-Go-Flat wheels for easier transport regardless of the terrain
  • Multiple covered outlets on the control panel help protect circuits from the environment
  • Engine Oil
  • Wheel Kit
  • Instruction Sheets

Great Product - Great Service
I am overall very satisfied with the Generac experience. I like the LP because I do not have to worry about "fresh gas" or clogged lines or filters.

Best design, user friendly.
Wanted a small generator that was propane fueled and easy to move and this fit the bill. Minor assembly required that was easily done using directions given.

I have an industrial design background and the overall attention to good design, portability and piggybacking the propane tank is what sold me. It runs as described, including low noise level.

Great for emergencies
I purchased this generator for emergency use in the event of power failure from storms, ice and snow, etc. Because it is propane fueled, I don't have to worry about gasoline going bad, and I know that it is always ready. I just start it up every month or two and let it run for a bit to test it, but I also know that if I miss a time or two, it's no big deal. It starts easily runs reliably, and has enough power to supply my needs. It fits the bill perfectly for why I bought it.

Excellent choice especially for fuel diversity
Purchased this product right after the 30 June storm that blacked out several eastern states. The choice for a propane unit worked out much better than expected. While gas pumps were down and there were several hour waits for the stations that were open, I was able to immediately fill several tanks at the local UHaul and was in business in no time. Without any trouble the unit ran a window AC unit, the fridge and I wired it into a ceiling fan/light and everything ran without issue. Tank lasted a little more than 6 hours on load and change-out was quick, easy and best of all clean. No fuel to spill. Would strongly recommend this product, especially for the times where people are caught off guard.

Very Happy
I purchased this generator after the strong storms went through Fort Wayne on Friday, 06/29/2012 when I did not have power. I went to the local store to purchase a Generac gasoline powered generator only to find this Generac generator as the only one of its size left, gasoline or LP. I was extremely pleased with its performance and ease of use. I had it set up in no time. It easily powered my refrigerator, chest freezer and 5,000 btu, window a/c unit without a hiccup. This was an unexpected purchase at the time, but it performed beyond my expectations. GREAT PRODUCT!!

Product is top notch
I just received my generator and love it but following the starting directions find that it is a bit hard to start. The directions states to open tank valve, flip switch to on, press fuel button for two seconds then two pulls with choke on and follow with two pulls with choke off and it will start. No such luck for me. I must try several times and it will start. Any ideas are welcomed.

Easy assembly, started right up, and noise level lower than expected.
Unit arrived with all required parts and simple to follow quick setup card. You will install the wheels, rubber foot pad bar and propane tank support housing. One negitive comment is the upper propane tank housing is plastic which is functional, but reduces the overall feel of quality. After assembly, added oil and propane tank. I purchased a propane tank with a built in gauge to help monitor fuel levels. Followed start up instructions (which are clearly marked on generator) and unit started right up.

What is the noise level or decibels of this generator? Compared to a gas of equal size? If it is louder than I prefer are there any optional exhaust system or such that can make it quieter?
Ken on Aug 26, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately, Generac has not listed the decibel rating for this generator. For more information, please contact Generac directly at 1-888-436-3722
Can this generator be run on natural gas as well as LP?
Dave on Feb 14, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Not without changing the internal orifices as the LP ones are much larger and natural gas would flow too generously, creating a safety (possible explosion) hazard.
Check with the manufacturer to see if there is a conversion kit as they manufacture whole house generators that operate on natural gas.
Are there any special longterm storage procedures that must be done on a propane generator. Like draining and fogging the carb on a gas model?
Ken on Aug 26, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Its recommended that all portable generators are drained after usage. For additional preventative maintenance, please contact Generac's tech support at 1-888-436-3722

New Vs. Reconditioned

What's the difference between New and Factory-Reconditioned?

Factory-Reconditioned products have been returned to the manufacturer and are restored to like-new operating condition; they go through a rigorous testing and inspection process. Plus, they offer a significant savings vs. new.
  • Reconditioned products may have minor cosmetic blemishes or scratches that do not affect item performance.
  • Reconditioned products may not come with all of the consumables the new version comes with (bits, sanding pads/papers, cases, etc.).
  • Both come with a manufacturer warranty and are covered by our Money Back Guarantee; New is 30 days, Reconditioned is 120 days.
