I live in Connecticut. I just got this unit three weeks ago. Perfect timing for our first big storm of 2017. So far I really really love this unit. I'm a little concerned, Because when I put the battery in the battery charger it appears to be taking longer then I was told it would take to charge the battery full. So for now I'm only giving it a three star because of this issue. But so far I really do like this unit. I purchased this unit to do my front walk and my rear deck. It is performing better than I had hoped it would. It made quick work out of the front walk way and rear deck. Has good power. I went through 8" of snow quickly and effortlessly.

I couldn't believe that a battery snowblower would work! But it does.
I love my snowblower! Lightweight, easy to use. It's one I can really throws the snow off the driveway.

Almost Perfect
We don't get a lot of snow or very often but when we do this machine is ready to go. Better than gas because it doesn't require the maintenance that a gas engine does. I get 35-40 min use between battery changes. I just take the one I have for the grass trimmer and get right back at it. Could use a replaceable edge on the parts that make contact with the uneven surfaces, either a metal or hard plastic.

Surprisingly Powerful
A little skeptical at first, I decided to try the Greenworks 80 Volt cordless electric snow thrower. The first snowfall after it arrived was only about three inches, but the snow thrower made short work of the sidewalk and driveway. Wow! The snow thrower's power, ease of use, and the snow throwing distance were all very impressive. The initial skepticism is gone; this is an awesome machine and it will handle much deeper snow. An unexpected bonus... my daughters, who were never comfortable using gas powered equipment, like using the Greenworks snow thrower.

Exceeds Expectations!
Surprising just how good this little unit works! We are a mid sized church with 2000+ feet of 4 foot wide sidewalks to keep clear. We do our own snow removal and we purchased this as a convenient way to keep a small amount of sidewalk areas clear. The unit is so lightweight, and with no fuel or oil, it's perfect to keep a small area clear for the plow guy to get in and out of the buildings without having to fire up the gas unit for just 50 feet of sidewalk. And as a bonus, it can be stored inside without any obnoxious fumes or venting concerns. Have actually ending up using it to clear more than just the little bit we intended for it - it works that good! No real difference between this and 40 volt unit, other than how long they run. I know because, this worked so well, I purchased one for my senior parents and they love it as well!

Great purchase
Today was my second and and most challenging use, 4 inches of snow with ice on top. The blower dealt with this easily using 3/4 of the charge to do fifty feet of sidewalk and a two car parking area. Recharged the battery for 20 minutes then did two neighbors walks and a two car drive. Sure beat pulling out the gas snowblower like I thought I would have to. Quite a little machine!

Was Very Skeptical but.....
I bought one of these on sell because I did not have the money or the room for a big gas powered snow blower. I was skeptical when I saw this but I thought, at the price, it sure beats shoveling. This thing not only worked it worked great. It scrapes the surface so it gets under the snow, my dads gas powered 2 stage won't even do that. I cleared my back sidewalk, side pavement and front of my house which is about 20 feet of pavement that is about 9 feet wide. I cleared two parking spaces by the curb for both my cars, while they were parked there. I also did my alley way which is about 100 foot long and about 12 feet wide, ALL ON ONE CHARGE! I really had the neighbor's attention on how quite it was and how well and fast it worked. I charged it up and went back out later on just for fun. The only negative thing I will say is, you really have to watch the propeller because my sidewalk is fairly straight but a couple times I did hit some loose concrete and it probably will not take a lot of that. It is sturdy but it is plastic and you can get replacement parts for it if you do break it. It went through everything I put it through and the shute put it where ever I aimed it. My dads would throw it too high at the lowest setting and it would go on the street. I like the fact that you use this item in a dusting or 10 inches. The snow we just had was at least 5 or 6 inches of heavy wet snow and this thing went through it. I was surprised at how it did not slow down when you hit the snow with it and it stayed running at the same high rpm until it just stopped because the battery was dead. Doesn't take too long to charge it either , a little less than 30 minutes. I like I can take this in my truck and keep inside the house or shed when not in use (never get stuck in the snow with an express van again), really like how compact it is with the handle folded down, but looks like a real nice snow blower when you are ready to work with it. LED lights are really bright too. I could see everything at night even with the city street lights casting shadows everywhere. I would recommend this to any one.

" Ver Impressed "
First time I used this product was in a 12 inch snowfall. Handled it beautifully and was quiet. Threw the snow at least 15 feet with no clogs. No struggling to start , no mixing of gas and no worring about the frshness of the gas.Being such a deep snow the battery had to be recharged to finish the job but that only took a half hour,The light weight of the machine ws very beneficial compared to the weight and klunkiness of a comparable gas snow thrower. Love it and would recommend to anyone. If you don't want to stop to recharge battery buy the heavy duty battery.

Well worth the price!
There's and old saying that says "size up your equipment based on the size of the job." I have a single stall garage with a straight shot of 70 feet to the curb. I have only had to use it twice, once in fluffy snow and once in medium to wet snow. Both times it was 5 inches each. It handled both jobs very well. For the wet snow I sprayed the throat of the chute with WD-40 and it never clogged once. I gave my gas guzzler TORO to a friend. Yes....with all due respect, I would buy another one in a heart beat!!!
