OPTIONS FOR UPDATING
I would hope there's a 8 bay option in the works with a 12V option as a hybrid or separate AC/DC converter that allows charging in the car. "If you build it they will come." You're a multi billion dollar company that should be thinking about floating cities due to climate change and do you want to be left behind and out sourced by other tool companies who are already working on this such as "makita and Dewalt".

I have had this charger for about three years I use it for work use it for camping I always have charge batteries which is nice I have a heated jacket and heated hoodie always have a charge battery when it’s cold. And if this ever breaks I will definitely buy another one

Consolidated M12 charging
Have the M12 and M18 gang charges. Cleared off my work bench. Always have a battery available. Some of the early M12s went bad early, but very pleased with the current versions.

Is this charger just a 120 volt charger or can I plug it into a 12 volt vehicle post as well?

BEST ANSWER: This unit is 120 volt only.no vehicle charger.
Can I leave batteries in this for a extended period of time without hurting the battery or charger?

BEST ANSWER: Yes, the batteries can be left on the charger for an extended amount of time. Li-Ion batteries do not have a charge "memory"
